«Breaking News» American Horror Story: Apocalypse: Joan Collins transforms herself into character

She was announced as part of Ryan Murphy's gripping horror series earlier this year.

And now Joan Collins has been pictured as she transformed into character for her role on the upcoming American Horror Story: Apocalypse series on Friday.

The legendary actress, 85, looked unrecognisable to her usual style as she rocked a huge voluminous white curly wig.

Joan looked effortlessly cool as she wore a pair of black Adidas tracksuit pants with a black fur coat and matching coloured wedges.

The author added a pair of oversized gold pendant earrings and a slick of glamorous make-up which included black eyeshadow and a purple lipstick.

Joan was sat on a chair as she took a break in between filming and fanned herself with a piece of paper.

The picture comes after the first trailer for American Horror Story: Apocalypse was released on Wednesday. 

In the clip, Joan and three others escape a major disaster in Santa Monica via private jet but soon everyone on board discovers the pilot is missing.     

After the plane crashes, the group eventually find themselves captive in a spooky Victorian-style society called Outpost 3, who fear the 'radiation' outside.

The Satanic leader of Outpost 3 is Antichrist Michael Langdon (Cody Fern), who was last seen in 2011 played by three-year-old Asher Gian Starita.

Murder House's Rubber Man is back in all his PVC glory haunting a new couple, but this time he's ghostly school shooter Tate Langdon (Evan Peters).

The one-minute preview also featured the return of Coven's Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts), Supreme Cordelia Foxx (also Paulson), and Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy).

AHS: Apocalypse - premiering September 12 on FX - also features Billy Eichner, Jessica Lange, Stevie Nicks, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Adina Porter, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson, and Leslie Grossman. 

Talking about how she got the role, Joan recently revealed that she got the role by going to a Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Talking to Town & Country, she said: 'When I first saw it, I went to my agent and said, "I love this show. Can you get me a role in it?" Nothing.

'Then I met Ryan Murphy at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and we had a lovely conversation, but I really didn’t think much more of it. 

'Two weeks later we go to see Barbra Streisand at the PaleyFest, and I didn’t know Ryan was going to be interviewing her. We go backstage afterwards to see Barbra, and Ryan says, "I just made an offer to you!"'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
