«Breaking News» Trump lashes out at local autoworkers union president who had just appeared on Fox News

President Donald Trump lashed out at an Ohio autoworkers' president to 'get his act together' shortly after David Green appeared on Fox News Channel Sunday and ahead of Trump's trip to the Buckeye state next week.

Trump criticized Green, the President UAW Local 1112, in Lordtown, Ohio, where the final Chevy Cruze rolled off the assembly line earlier this month at the GM Lordstown Plant.

'Democrat UAW Local 1112 President David Green ought to get his act together and produce. G.M. let our Country down, but other much better car companies are coming into the U.S. in droves. I want action on Lordstown fast. Stop complaining and get the job done! 3.8% Unemployment!,' he wrote on Twitter.

Trump will be in Ohio this coming week but not in Lordstown. He'll visit the Lima Army Tank Plant - a General Dynamics plant - on Wednesday.

He'll also stop in Canton, Ohio, for a private fundraiser for the Trump 2020 re-election campaign, according to local reports.

Green was asked if workers in Ohio still supported the president in the wake of the plant closure.

When GM made the decision in November to shutter the Lordstown facility, the president criticized the company and vowed he would pressure GM to 'get back to Ohio and soon.'

Green said that had given people hope.

'When he came and said all these great things, they were on board with that. The fact that we've seen our distribution center close out here, all these brick-and-mortar businesses were closing and no unallocated status which will affect really thousands of jobs around it,' he said.

GM has made no moves to reopen the plant.

Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan, who represents Lordstown, slammed the president on Twitter.

'Dave Green sent you a letter in July and you never responded. Then another one last month. Crickets. Green has been relentless in his advocacy for the Autoworkers and a new vehicle at GM Lordstown. I am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with him,' he wrote.

He added: 'Green and the men and women at GM Lordstown are some of the hardest working people you could ever meet. President Trump has refused to lift a finger to help.'

'I brought Dave to the State of the Union hoping President Trump would say something about our community's loss. Crickets again,' Ryan noted.

Ryan also called Trump's tweet 'offensive and does nothing to help bring back the manufacturing jobs he promised to my district.'

'Dave Green and the hardworking men and women at GM Lordstown deserve better. They've worked tirelessly to build award-winning cars and have dedicated their lives to GM. They are second to none. Since it was announced that GM would close Lordstown, Dave has been working around the clock to help save these jobs, families, and community. He even reached out to President Trump on two occasions asking for help, but no response. The President's tweet today is offensive and does nothing to help bring back the manufacturing jobs he promised to my district. It's counterproductive and insulting. We all deserve better,' he said in a statement.

Green wrote to Trump in July 2018 and again this past February in an attempt to get a product reallocated to the Lordstown General Motors plant.

Ohio voters supported Trump in the 2016 election and helped him win the White House.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
