Actress Amber Heard could face a multi-million-pound bill from ex-husband Johnny Depp if she testifies against him in a British court over alleged domestic abuse.
Heard, 32, faces the huge demand because after she and Depp, 55, divorced in 2017, she was given a £5 million settlement – on the condition that she signed a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA, gagging her from talking about their split.
But now she could enter the witness box to give evidence against the actor – and Depp could then ask for his money back.

The case relates to an article in The Sun newspaper last year which questioned why Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling allowed the Pirates Of The Caribbean star to be cast in her film Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them.
Depp is suing the newspaper for libel. Last week he successfully challenged its attempts to delay the case until he stated in writing that he would not sue Heard if she appeared as its witness.

The UK court row comes hot on the heels of Depp filing a £38 million defamation lawsuit against Heard in the US last week, calling abuse allegations she made in a US newspaper article last year ‘an elaborate hoax’.
Her lawyer, Eric M. George, yesterday described the lawsuit in the US as a ‘frivolous action’ and added: ‘This is just the latest of Johnny Depp’s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced.’

One insider questioned the timing of Depp’s US action, suggesting it could be a direct response to Heard’s apparent decision to appear in the UK case.
NDAs are usually not breached if one party is compelled to give evidence, but as Heard is choosing to appear, Depp could indeed try to get his cash back.
After their split, she donated some of the £5 million to a children’s hospital in Los Angeles and a civil liberty campaign group.
Depp and Heard, below, met in 2011 when they co-starred in the movie The Rum Diary, and married in 2015. But they split a year later and pictures were published of bruises on Heard’s face, allegedly caused by Depp throwing his phone at her.
Heard later dated billionaire inventor Elon Musk, but they split in 2018. Depp was previously married to actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has two children.
Katherine: Why I give my children the silent treatment
Singer Katherine Jenkins is so dedicated to her work that she refuses to speak to her children for up to three days at a time to protect her vocal cords.
The mezzo-soprano reveals that she communicates with Aaliyah, three, and one-year-old Xander only by gestures the day before a performance, on the day itself and also for 24 hours after.

‘My kids have grown up knowing not to talk to me on certain days. I will not answer,’ Katherine confessed to me at Decca Records’ 90th anniversary party.
‘I make little gestures like tapping my heart to say I love you and picking up a cup to ask if they want a drink. They are used to it – they don’t know any different.’
Katherine’s next tour kicks off at the end of April.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
