«Breaking News» Sylvia Jeffreys chases criminal down the street during A Current Affair report

Sylvia Jeffreys made her big debut on A Current Affair last month after being axed from the Today show in December 2018. 

And it appears no job is too small for the 32-year-old former breakfast television newsreader.

Sylvia got her hands dirty as she was seen chasing a criminal down the street outside Darlinghurst Courthouse in Sydney during Wednesday's episode of ACA. 

The journalist grilled 38-year-old former financial adviser Gabriel Nakhl, who was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment for engaging in dishonest conduct with investor funds, outside the courthouse. 

Sylvia, clad in a pink blouse tucked into a black pencil skirt, was seen increasing her speed to catch up with the Nakhl.   

'These are good hard-working people, Mr Nakhl. You've left them with nothing,'  Sylvia said as she caught her breath.

However Mr Nakhl refused to talk to or even acknowledge the journalist as he fixed his gaze straight ahead and powered down the street.   

Later in the report, Sylvia was seen interrogating Nakhl on the street yet again.

'Are you sorry for what you did to these families?' Sylvia asked Nakhl. 

'Is there anything that you'd like to say to them? You lied to them. You misled them. You stole their money and left them with nothing,' she added.      

At one point, self-proclaimed 'genius' Nakhl turned the camera on Sylvia as he was seen filming her with his iPhone when she tried to question him.

Sylvia filed her first report for A Current Affair in February this year.  

Last month, Channel Nine confirmed that Sylvia was moving to A Current Affair after being dropped as the Today show's newsreader, last year.

The network said the blonde reporter will be redeployed across 'several departments' in 2019.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
