«Breaking News» Son mistakenly tells his mother he has an 'STI' instead of a 'stye', prompting an hilarious response

A man's spelling mistake had mortifying consequences when he inadvertently told his mother he had contracted a sexually transmitted infection.

When Brogan Tant, from Limavady, Northern Ireland developed a stye - a red lump that can form around the eye - he told his mother via text.

But he incorrectly spelled the word - texting his mother 'I've got a sti' - prompting her to believe her son had contracted a sexually transmitted infection.

Offering him some motherly advice, she said: 'Is it any wonder the way you bang the birds, the doctor can treat most things son.

'Make sure you get it treated and take the whole course of meds you're given.'

She wrapped up her message with a heart felt: 'Now let it be a lesson and use condoms son, I still love you xxx'.

Her horrified son quickly realised his mistake, and did not hesitate to correct her - posting an image of the offending lump on his right eye.

To which his relieved mother said: 'Aw get a gold ring and rub it on the stye.'

Amused by the whole incident, Mr Tant posted a screenshot of the conversation on Twitter. With thousands having now viewed the post - which has attracted more than 13,000 likes and around 1,000 retweets

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
