«Breaking News» 'She's going to be held back': Lisa Wilkinson says Meghan Markle 'married into the wrong family'

TV presenter Lisa Wilkinson has warned that pregnant Meghan Markle could have her full potential hampered by the British royal family. 

Speaking on Network Ten's The Project on Monday, Lisa, 59, said of Meghan: 'She so intelligent and so good at public speaking, she's really strong in areas like girls' education and homelessness, poverty. I think, did she marry into the wrong family?'

Wilkinson added that the Duchess of Sussex, 37, is 'probably going to be held back' by the royals.

Interestingly, Meghan only recently spoke about women's empowerment on an International Women's Day panel organised by the Queen's Commonwealth Trust.

The Duchess told the panel last week: 'When women miss out on careers, education or opportunities because of the system that they live in, we all suffer.'

Meghan had joined other other activists and thought leaders including singer Annie Lennox, 64, and Campaign for Female Education executive director Angeline Murimirwa at King's College in London.

Indeed, the Duchess is known for her commitment to championing women's rights as an advocate for UN Women and in other charitable causes for gender equality.

Markle married Prince Harry in May last year.

In October, Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess was expecting her first child.

Meghan is due to give birth in April.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
