«Breaking News» RHONY star Luann de Lesseps hits back at Ramona Singer

Ramona Singer found herself in hot water after making skeptical remarks about Luann de Lesseps spending just 'two weeks' in rehab last year. 

But Luann, 53, has sensationally hit back at Ramona, 62, telling Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that she 'spent longer in rehab than that'. 

The Real Housewives of New York City star acknowledged that while she did leave treatment early to perform in a cabaret show, she returned later on.

'I came out just to do my cabaret show just because it gives me so much joy,' she said.

'You know, it's the best thing in the world. It's the best medicine for me. It's a good thing I don't really rely on Ramona's opinion!'

In August 2018, Ramona told E! News that she wasn't convinced Luann, who left a rehab stint in Connecticut after just a few weeks, was fully rehabilitated. 

Setting the record straight: The Real Housewives of New York City star acknowledged that while she did leave treatment early to perform in a cabaret show, she returned later on 

'I think someone who gets out of rehab after two weeks... I mean are they really well?' she said at the time.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Luann admitted that drama caused by her RHONY castmates - including Ramona and Dorinda Medley - makes sobriety challenging. 

'It's not easy but I take it day by day,' she said of her recovery.

'If I think of it as a whole, then it's just too difficult and anybody would tell you that who's trying to not drink.'

'You just have to take it day by day and the solution is not drinking - it's not going to help the situation that's for sure. Not with these ladies!' she added.

Luann first entered a rehab facility after being arrested and charged with battery, trespass and disorderly intoxication in Palm Beach on Christmas Eve in 2017. 

She later accepted a plea deal and returned to rehab in July 2018.

Luann, who has transformed herself into an author, philanthropist, actress and cabaret star, also spoke about bringing her Countess and Friends show Down Under.

'I'm working on it! I want to bring my cabaret show to Australia. I've never been to Australia before so it would be so fabulous to come and perform,' she said.

'The plans are definitely being worked on!' 

After a series of successful performances in New York City, Luann embarked on a sell-out national tour.

She has also launched her Countess Luann jewellery collection with SuperJeweler, inspired by her love of glitzy statement pieces. 

Describing the collection, Luann said: 'My Countess Luann statement necklace collection is cabaret for every day.

'My favourite piece is a string of diamonds which looks like a million dollars! And they're Austrian crystals, they're just gorgeous.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
