«Breaking News» Radio host claims Sophie Monk forgot the lyrics to her own song

She's the former Bardot singer-turned-solo artist, who hasn't released any music since the early noughties.

And Sophie Monk allegedly forgot the lyrics to one of her hit songs while attending the annual fundraiser for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation on Saturday.

Speaking on his Hit network radio show, Matty Acton, who emceed the event with Sophie, claimed the 39-year-old panicked when a fellow attendee bid to have her sing Poison.

'When I said 'I'm going to get you to do it (the song)', she goes 'no I don't know the words',' Matty said on Stav, Abby & Matt on Thursday.

'She's at the back sitting in the loading dock flicking through lyrics.com.

'I go 'to be fair you only sang small sections of the song because you were a group' - she was highly offended by that.'

The record was released in April 2000, after the group was formed on the reality TV show, Popstars. 

Sophie attended the charity event with boyfriend Joshua Gross, who flew to Australia from the US to attend the fundraiser.

Sophie met Josh on a business class flight in August 2018.

It appears that an engagement could be on the cards for the lovebirds, after Sophie told HIT 105's Stav, Abby and Matt last week that she's hoping for a ring.

'I said we're going to get married, but he hasn't proposed so I probably should have thought that through and given him a choice in the situation,' she said laughing. 

'But I'm hoping this year he proposes.'

'He's going to move here eventually, he has to work out work as well. I travel a lot as well, so it's working out awesome.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
