«Breaking News» Puppy is shot in the head in front of three young children by mystery gunman who 'apologized' first

A heartless gunman allegedly apologized to three children before shooting their puppy in the face after it ran into the street.

The three kids had gone outside briefly near a Dallas apartment complex and their 9-month-old Labrador retriever mix named Nolan ran out after them.

Then a man who was walking by pulled out a gun and fired at the animal.

The dog, a Labrador Retriever mix was shot in the mouth and is expected to survive

The man walked up to a group of children and shot their dog for seemingly no reason before taking off on foot

Genola Vance, who owns the dog, says she believes the children would have been shot were it not for the dog

Genola Vance, who owns the dog said she asked her son and nephews to take out the trash and when they opened the door the dog followed them.

Moments later the children came back into the house saying Nolan had been shot.

'They said the man just looked at them, said "sorry", and then shot him,' Vance said. 'Nolan ran by me into the house and there was blood everywhere.'

Vance called Dallas police, but officers couldn't locate the suspect by the time they arrived.

He is currently at large, and if found will be charged with animal cruelty per a release.

The dog, called Nolan, had major injuries but was treated at SPCA-Dallas at a cost of $7,000

Nolan is now at home with Vance and her family and has to eat soft foods. He is on pain medication as well as antibiotics

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, fled the scene, The Dallas Morning News reported.  

He was described as a black man, wearing a black hoodie, WFAA reported. 

He is wanted on a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals, officials said.

Nolan had major injuries, but is expected to survive, the Star-Telegram states.

The bullet went through the front of the dog's mouth and exited through his jaw, breaking it.

Medical costs exceeded $7,000, but SPCA-Dallas kindly ended up paying for Nolan's surgery.

The incident happened completely without warning as the kids were taking the trash out

Poor Nolan has to be very careful for the next few weeks while his broken jaw heals 

Nolan is now at home with Vance and her family. He has to eat soft foods and is on pain medication as well as antibiotics.

Vance adopted the little guy last year so that her family would have a loving pet to play with.

'We chose Nolan out of every dog at the shelter,' Vance said. 'He's like my son. I love my kids and I love him the same.'

'I think if Nolan wouldn't have run outside, maybe this man would have shot one of the kids,' Vance said to WFAA. 'He took a bullet for my family.'

'At the end of the day, I'm just happy he's alive and I'm going to do whatever it takes to make him better.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
