«Breaking News» Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall arrive in St Vincent and Grenadines

The Prince of Wales looked suitably cool in the Caribbean sunshine today, as he  royal donned a pair of sunglasses and a light white suit for his arrival in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Prince Charles, 70, and Camilla, 71, are currently on a 12 day tour of the Caribbean, and were greeted by school children as they arrived on the island.

Camilla carried a light parasol to keep the sun from her face in the 30°C heat as she smiled at school children in the crowds.

Many of the pupils waved Union Jacks alongside the flag of the island.

Prince looked cool in a grey suit, with a light pink tie and grey and black striped tie.

He finished off the outfit with a pair of trendy sunglasses.

The royals have already visited St Lucia and Bridgetown on their tour, which will also take in an historic trip to Cuba later this month - the first by a member of the British royal family.

Waiting to meet the couple at the bottom of the steps of the RAF Voyager ministerial jet was the country's Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne, the Queen's representative in the country.

Nearby was the Commonwealth nation's prime minister Ralph Gonsalves - known as Comrade Ralph to many in his country.

He campaigned in a 2009 referendum to have the Queen, his country's head of state, replaced with an elected president but a majority of voters rejected the proposal.

Mr Gonsalves, who has been in power since 2001, has forged ties with Cuba, Venezuela and Iran as he has tried to diversify the economy away from banana production.

On Monday the couple enjoyed some downtime on a Barbados beach as they made the most of a day off in the sun between official engagements.

During their tour, Charles and Camilla will also visit St Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and the Cayman Islands.

Meanwhile, Camilla was snapped drinking passionfruit rum while visiting St Vincent and The Grenadines Community College.

The royal, who was still carrying her trusty parasol, grinned from ear to ear as she drank a small shot of the liquor.

She posed for photographs with students of the college, who performed and danced for the Duchess in intricate costume.

She was greeted by a dance presentation by the La Gracia Dance Company and Arabesque Dance Company at St Vincent and The Grenadines Community College.

Charles is also said to be keen to discuss the impact of climate change in the area, having already spoken about the issue in St Lucia.

Speaking about the global threat posed by climate change the prince said: 'Importantly, the Commonwealth brings us together and gives us the means to harness shared opportunities, as well as to address common challenges.

'There is no greater challenge facing all of us, in my view, than that of global warming and climate change which, I know, poses nothing short of an existential threat to this island as it does to every part of this region.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
