«Breaking News» Piles of junk, overflowing bins and a HORSE! Landlord's joy after evicting 'tenant from hell'

A relieved landlord has spoken out after finally securing an order through the courts to evict a mother-of-five branded 'the tenant from hell.'

Phil Withnall, landlord of the property, and other residents in a Bransholme, Kingston upon Hull cul-de-sac revealed how they were desperate to see the back of Katie Bentley who at one point kept a horse in her back garden.

Her landlord accused her of causing £20,000 worth of damage to the property, not paying rent for three months and allowing the house he owns to be infiltrated by squatters, a court heard.

Neighbours were similarly disgruntled by Ms Bentley's behaviour with the under-fire tenant described as a 'nightmare' who residents say terrorised the neighbourhood.

Ms Bentley claimed she was being beaten in her home by 'smackheads' who broke into the property in October 2018.

She says her baby's toys were stolen and admitted she was determined to find somewhere safe to live.

A possession order has been granted by the court which states that she must have had left the property on or before February 27, 2019. The building now has smashed windows and doors and appears empty.

Mr Withnall, who owns P&J Properties, said: 'The house is a right mess and she's had a lot of friends in the property.

'We've given her the notice to leave the property and if she doesn't leave we then have to get a bailiff in to remove her. Once that happens if she tries to re-enter it will be a criminal offence.

'It is so frustrating because it was a really nice property but it has been completely destroyed and I've not been able to do anything about it.

'We want to do it up and put it up for sale so someone else can take it on. Considering what has happened we just want to get rid of it.

'I've spoken to the neighbours and they are all really pleased. The garden is now completely clear after a council wagon came and cleared it all up.

'This has been like a typical case you see on film or television of tenants and it is something you have to deal with when you manage properties.

'I've been managing properties for 25 years and I've never had to deal with anything like this before but you feel by law of averages you are going to get caught up in it one day.'

Ms Bentley has also been ordered to pay Mr Withnall £424.50 on or before February 27 but Mail Online understands this money has not been paid to the landlord.

Mr Withnall said if Miss Bentley decides not to leave the property in the near future, it could take six weeks for bailiffs to come and evict her from the house.

The landlord said he has tried to enter the property prior to February 27 but said his key would not fit in the lock.

Last month, Ms Bentley said she understood why other parents on the estate were scared to let their children go outside because of her.

However, she insisted she had ditched the drugs and gone teetotal in a bid to bring some stability to her life.

Ms Bentley has been contacted in regards to the eviction notice being issued.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
