«Breaking News» Nor'easter storm will drench Washington D.C. and New York this weekend

The Northeast will kick off its spring season this weekend with a gloomy deluge of heavy rain and in some states, snow.

Wednesday marked the first day of spring and while most of the Northeast enjoyed blue skies for the new season, a nor'easter storm is forecast to take over this weekend bringing over an inch of rain, whipping winds and flurries to high-terrain areas.

The low pressure storm will develop along the Carolina coast on Wednesday evening, dropping heavy rain in the area before spiraling upwards and intensifying near the Eastern Seaboard.

By Thursday the storm will move up the coast and slam the Mid-Atlantic and Washington, D.C. with heavy rain.

In the afternoon the deluge will inundate New York City and end up in Boston by evening.

The Nor-easter will swirl into New England on Friday bringing not just heavy rain but heavy snow into the mountains there.

Cold air spilling from the Northeast and Appalachians could turn the rain into snow, affecting states from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, according to Weather.com.

In total the Nor'easter is expected to drop more than one inch of rain and give inland mountains more than half a foot of snow, according to ABC

With it, the storm system will bring strong winds.

The storm will be tame compared to last year's March storm series where four nor'easters hit the same area in just three weeks. This time around, accumulating snow is not expected.

Though forecasts of rain won't be heavy everywhere, parts of eastern New England could be drenched by an inch or more by the end of the weekend.

While the Northeast is bracing for rain, the Midwest is still reeling from deadly flooding left in the wake of the 'bomb cyclone' storm that ripped through the nation over the past two weeks.

States like Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and the Dakotas are grappling with massive flooding that have killed two in Nebraska, turned towns into islands, and led thousands to evacuate.

And the rivers in those states will only continue to swell as snow melts add to the floods.

The Mississippi and Missouri rivers have led to devastating floods in Minnesota, the Dakotas, and Wisconsin.

The Minnesota River is also forecast to rise up to six feet this week and crest next week.

The Midwest will see one to three inches of rain through early next week.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
