R. Kelly has walked out of a Chicago jail after an anonymous person paid the $161,633 that the R&B singer owed in child support.
The person, who officials say does not want to be publicly identified, handed over the check on Saturday to the Cook County clerk's office for the full amount that Kelly needed to be released from jail.
Kelly had been in jail for three days after a judge ordered that he be taken into custody when he was unable to come up with the entire amount he owed his ex-wife Andrea Lee.
A copy of Kelly's bond slip where a person putting up money writes their name and relationship to the inmate was left blank on Saturday.

Cook County Chief Policy Officer Cara Smith said the person wanted to remain anonymous.
Two weeks earlier, Kelly walked free from the same jail after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse pertaining to three girls and a woman.
A 47-year-old Chicago businesswoman, who was later identified as Valencia Love, posted his $100,000 bail.
On his bond slip in that instance, Love identified herself as Kelly's 'friend'.
Fox 32 News reporter Tia A. Ewing said on Saturday that Love had told her she would have left her relationship blank last time if she had known the drama that would follow from helping her friend.
Love, who met Kelly on a local cruise on Lake Michigan last September, owns the Love on the Blu restaurant outside Chicago and also run a nearby childcare facility called the Lord and Child Christian Daycare Center.

Multiple bomb threats were called into the childcare center after it was revealed that Love put up the money for Kelly's initial bond.
Love received a seven-figure settlement after filing a wrongful death lawsuit against a hospital that was treating her young daughter when she died in 2010.
She purchased the restaurant and daycare center after receiving the settlement.
Sam Randall, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said on Saturday that the source of the latest bail payment was unclear, noting that the name section of the bond slip was left blank.
'Anonymity in this situation is pretty rare,' Randall said. 'Typically that section of the form is filled out.'
Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenberg, declined to comment when asked by email whether the child support payment was made by Kelly or someone else.
TMZ cited sources close to Kelly as saying an unidentified benefactor helped him.

Kelly spoke briefly with reporters after walking free on Saturday, saying: 'I promise you, we're going to straighten all this stuff out.'
He said that was all he could say, a stark contrast to a nationally televised broadcast that aired earlier in the week in which he cried and ranted about being 'assassinated' by allegations of sexual abuse that led to criminal charges last month.
Kelly has denied any wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty to the sexual abuse charges.
He has also very publicly proclaimed his innocence, telling Gayle King in an interview that aired Wednesday on 'CBS This Morning' that all his accusers were lying about him.
He also talked about his finances, saying that people had stolen money from his bank accounts, though he offered no details.
Greenberg told reporters on Saturday that Kelly's attorneys 'haven't seen one piece of evidence.'
'When we get those things, we're going to fight this case like we fight any other case, in the courtroom, based on the evidence,' he said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
