«Breaking News» Mom who gave birth to 15 pound baby describes it as 'violent'

A New York woman who gave birth to a record-breaking 15 pound baby says it was like being hit by two tractor-trailers as she described the experience of labor as 'violent'.  

Joi Buckley delivered her daughter Harper on Monday in Elmira in upstate New York.

The baby girl weighed the same as a six-month-old child and already had a full head of hair when she arrived.

Harper is the second baby Buckley and her husband have conceived after initially being told they had a 15 percent chance. They adopted a daughter seven years ago after believing their chances were slim  

'I felt like I was hit by two tractor-trailers,' Buckley told the New York Post. 

'It was pretty violent. She got stuck under my rib cage.'

It took three doctors, a medical 'vacuum' and a C-section to deliver Harper. 

The newborn, measuring 23 inches, is currently on a breathing machine and is being monitored in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit after suffering some trauma during the birth. 

Doctors will watch her sugar and oxygen levels this week. 

Given the baby's weight, Buckley said: 'She may end up with a linebacker build, just like me.' 

'I knew she was going to be big but I didn't anticipate no 15-pound baby,' Buckley told WETM.  

It means Harper is the largest infant that Arnot Odgen Medical Center in Elmira has ever delivered.

Harper's parents had been told they had a 15 percent chance of being able to conceive. 

They adopted a girl seven years ago when they realized their chances of having a biological child were slim.  

Two years later the couple were shocked to discover Buckley was pregnant and they gave birth to their son. 

Their baby boy was born weighing in at 11 pounds.  

'The thing I've always wanted to do is be a mom, and finding out the first time I was overjoyed,' Buckley said.

The mother-of-three added advice for those yearning to conceive: 'Don't give up, cause it's right there. It's definitely right there 'cause my kids are total proof of that.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
