A California man proclaims to hold the secret to navigating difficult women — and it all comes down to their manicures.
Marwan Alteir, a 26-year-old Huntington Beach resident who goes by Rocky on Twitter, is convinced that the key to women's personalities is who they choose to do their nails, and he put together a six-page book to demonstrate his argument.
And since he has shared videos of the book — which he has called Nails Survival Guide 101 and Nails At First Sight, on social media, it's gone viral, racking up hundreds of thousands of likes — and many grudging words of approval from women.
Science: Marwan Alteir, 26, a Huntington Beach resident, wanted to help 'bros' figure out whether a girl is a good choice and claims you can tell a woman's personality by her manicure
Book: He shared a tongue-in-cheek book called Nails Survival Guide 101 to argue his case, which has gone viral
Hues: His book lists colors that are 'safe' (like shades of nude) and 'dangerous' like yellow and orange
Rocky tweeted clips of his book on February 26.
'Tired of chasing the wrong girl? Just found out your girl is psycho? Want to know the signs before making that investment? My book “Nails At First Sight” will help you,' he wrote, captioning his tongue-in-cheek guide.
He then included two videos showing off his 'fool-proof survival guide' so his 'bros' know what they are getting into with girls.
Rocky breaks down his argument in three parts: color, shape, and length. He says the combination of these three things can tell a man all he needs to know about a female romantic prospect.
Color, he says, is the 'most crucial thing,' the factor that can tell you the most about a girl. He includes images of what he considers 'safe color shades' — all of which are natural colors like nudes, beiges, blushes, tans, and greiges.
'Guaranteed to be safe, you can sleep with two eyes closed, you don't have to hold your balls while you're sleeping, and you might expect breakfast in the morning,' he says of women wearing these hues.
Ow! He also specifies which nail shapes are dangerous, particularly when nails can be used as weapons, like stiletto nails
Tweet: 'Tired of chasing the wrong girl? Just found out your girl is psycho? Want to know the signs before making that investment? My book “Nails At First Sight” will help you,' he said
Then, he argues, there are the 'be cautious colors' which 'can be safe [or] can be dangerous. These include white, black, and a French manicure.
The dangerous colors, according to Rocky, are green, red, orange, and yellow.
'Please bros, I beg of you: Get health insurance if you're gonna be partying or hanging out with this,' he says, before adding that yellow nails are the scariest of the bunch.
'If she has the courage to get yellow nails, she has the courage to chop up your balls,' he says.
Next, he moves on to shape.
'Shapes equal the mood. So the ones I would stay away from is "mountainpeak," stiletto, and arrowhead,' he says, pointing on a diagram to the three pointiest styles
'They're not sharp for no reason,' he says. 'They're f***ing weapons. Weapons of mass destruction. They're meant to hurt you,' he adds.
Safe: Women with 'regular' length nails tend to be basic and safe. They like pumpkin spice lattes, don't know how to twerk, and are unable to use their nails as weapon
Ouch! Girls with medium-length nails are a bit more dangerous, he says
Careful! 'So you know when you're playing a video game and you get to that last boss? This is the boss,' he says of girls with long nails
He also includes other shapes on the page, though he doesn't explain their importance. It's clear he has done his research, though, because he covers 12 nail shapes, including square, oval, rounded, almond, ballerina, and lipstick.
The third factor, Rocky goes on, is size. He explains: 'Girls always say size does not matter. Wrong. Size does matter.'
Women with 'regular' length nails tend to be basic and safe. They like pumpkin spice lattes and Lululemon, don't know how to twerk, and have good dexterity while being unable to use their nails as weapons.
Girls with medium-length nails are a bit more dangerous, he says. Their catchphrases include 'you ain't s***,' 'OMG ZADDY,' and 'Venmo me $5 and see what happens.' They also have very messy cars and like to take vacations with old men.
Finally, he concludes, women who have long nails are giving you a warning sign.
Viral: Since Rocky shared his findings, his videos have been viewed 4.6 million times and scored a quarter of a million likes
Feel that: There have been thousands of comments, too, many from women confirming that his take is accurate and showing off their own nails to prove it
Mani day! Many women used it as an excuse to show of their nails
'So you know when you're playing a video game and you get to that last boss? This is the boss,' he says, noting that these women only drink tequila and Hennessy, have an ex in jail, are good at twerking, and 'will fight to death.'
They have terrible dexterity and can most definitely use their nails as weapons, he concludes.

There have been thousands of comments, too, many from women confirming that his take is accurate and showing off their own nails to prove it.
'As a girl I can confirm this to be accurate,' wrote one.
'Nude. But long. Sweet but will definitely kill you if prompted to do so,' wrote another.
Is it true? This woman joked that she felt 'attacked' by the characterization of her long nails
Understood: This woman, though, didn't argue with Rocky's opinion
Hard work: Rocky claims to have done research with other men for his book
Rocky told BuzzFeed News that he actually did a surprising amount of work before printing his booklet.
'I created this research to protect my bros around the world. They need to know what they’re getting into,' he said. 'I’m pretty confident on my research, but like I said, results will vary.'
'I actually started the guide back in 2018 around summertime. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how I wanted to present it, but getting the data was the hardest part."
'Research was conducted with 20 male friends and 10 male strangers. I showed each of them diagrams and images. If more than one guy said the same thing about a particular nail, it would go on the book,' he added.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
