«Breaking News» Maida Vale one-bed house on same mews Sex Pistol's Sid Vicious lived on hits market for £2.5m

A drab Maida Vale house in need of a lick of paint has been put up for sale by an elderly man who has lived there for decades and is ready 'to live the good life'.

Despite a leaky roof, drip-catching buckets in the living roof and a dated and mouldy interior this one-bedroom house in Pindock Mews is up for sale for £2.5million.

Paint may be peeling and chipping away from the exterior but it fronts a home that is still lived in and has been loved for decades.

Houses to the left and right of the property feature brightly painted blue and red doors with clear windows and freshly painted ledges. Beautiful flowers peer out from well-placed window boxes. Meanwhile the property, which is still lived in, features peeling grey paint and old fashioned lead lined windows in desperate need of replacement

The property boasts a double garage, a reception room/kitchen, bathroom, loft and entrance hall.

Surrounded by freshly painted buildings featuring colourful window boxes this property is expected to cost around £371,000 to renovate to bring it in line with the standard of its neighbours.

And the area, which is cheaper than nearby Notting Hill, is popular with the rich and famous including musicians Boy George and Marilyn, Janet Street-Porter and Tony Jams of Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

The cobbled street was even home to the Sex Pistol's infamous ex-bass player and vocalist Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. The current owner has lived in the house in Pindock Mews near Westminster for decades but is looking to sell up and 'live the good life'

Although the kitchen is in need of a serious upgrade the current owner keeps his home clean and tidy. The mustard yellow kitchen needs a new layer of paint and the cupboards could be replaced

'Despite the leaky roof and the buckets of rain water in the living room, he keeps the house orderly and incredibly tidy.

'There’s not been much remedial work done to it and the new owners will have a proper renovation job on their hands.'

Lurot Brand, the estate agents handling the sale of the house estimate it would cost a buyer £300 per sq ft for below ground renovations and £250 per sq ft for above ground renovations.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
