«Breaking News» Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas are loved up as they enjoy a cosy lunch date in Manchester

They first fell for each other while filming Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls back in early 2017.

And Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas looked happier than ever after they enjoyed a romantic lunch date at Food Well Restaurant in Manchester on Sunday. 

The reality star, 27, and the soap actor, 34, were beaming away as they made their way into the eatery, clearly pleased to be spending some quality time together.

Wrapped up warm against the cool Manchester air, Lucy wore a chunky red cable knit jumper and a pair of black cropped trousers.

Keeping things casual, the fitness entrepreneur added a pair of white Gucci trainers and slung a black handbag across her body.

The former TOWIE star also rocked a pair of gold hooped earrings and a gold watch for the outing.

Forgoing too much glam for the lunch date, Lucy kept her make-up to a minimum, while her brunette tresses were left loose with a simple side parting.

Former Coronation Street star beau Ryan opted for a casual ensemble for the day.  

The actor wore a khaki mac layered over a blue t-shirt, which he matched with a pair of ripped denim jeans.

The soap favourite added a pair of brown and white trainers, while covering up in a navy sports cap. 

The couple appear stronger than ever after they were rocked by split rumours after Lucy was pictured looking very cosy with a man in a Dubai nightclub in later 2018.  

In the same week the video emerged, Ryan had told OK! magazine that Lucy is keen for him to get down on one knee.

He said: 'She’s always dropping hints about what she wants to happen. I think Lucy wants me to propose next year!’

And Lucy said: 'You’d better get saving because I want a really heavy left hand!' 

She added: 'I wouldn’t waste my time with someone if I didn’t believe we were on the same page about children and getting married. I know we both want the same things in the future.'

Ryan is a doting dad to daughter Scarlett, 10, who he shares with his former Coronation Street co-star and ex-girlfriend Tina O'Brien, 35, who he dated from 2003 to 2009.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
