«Breaking News» Kevin Clifton insists he has 'never' dated any of his Strictly partners

Kevin Clifton has revealed there was never any romance between him and Louise Redknapp as he insisted he has 'never' dated any of his Strictly Come Dancing partners.

The professional dancer, 36, was partnered with Louise, 44, on the 2016 series of the show where they were said to have grown close.

Louise split from husband Jamie Redknapp after taking part in the series while Kevin and his former wife Karen also went their separate ways.

However, Kevin told The Sun that he has never had a romantic relationship with his Strictly partners.  

He said: 'No, never. You’re there to do a job and get on with the dancing. That’s what it’s about.'

Kevin has had a stellar track record on Strictly, winning last year's series with Stacey Dooley as well as finishing as runner-up four times.

Speaking about his training style, the TV star insisted he's not as strict with his celebrity partners as people might think, given his consistent high scores.

He said: 'I don’t crack the whip, be really strict or a disciplinarian. The only way you can do your best is when you feel really comfortable and safe. 

'And I also tell them I won’t laugh at them at any point — they can make as many mistakes as they want, providing they give their all on the night.'

Kevin isn't as harsh a critic as judge Craig Revel Horwood when he's correcting the celebrities' mistakes.

The dancer admitted it can be 'soul-destroying' when you receive negative remarks from the judges after hours spent trying to perfect the routine in the studio.

Kevin added that he tries to be as encouraging as possible with his dance partners. 

It comes after the TV star revealed he still enjoys a close friendship with ex-wife Karen, saying they still 'have love for each other'.

Kevin told Lorraine: 'We've still been dancing together, we did a tour together, we do have a big respect for each other.

'We just decided it didn't have to be argumentative and difficult so we thought let's just stay friends and work through it, so we're good we're all fine.

'You're always gonna have love for each other and we're just looking out for each other.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
