«Breaking News» Joanna Lumley hints Absolutely Fabulous may make a return and says she doesn't want to have regrets

Absolutely Fabulous fans will be thrilled to learn Joanna Lumley isn't done with the cult series just yet.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, the 72-year-old British actress revealed she wouldn't rule out reviving her iconic role of Patsy Stone in the hit series.

Joanna played the colourful magazine fashion director in the long-running comedy series, opposite Jennifer Saunders' Edina Monsoon.

And while the show may have ended in 2012, it went on to spawn a movie in 2016, and Joanna admits she's not quite finished yet.

'We keep thinking it is the end but there is some weird nagging thing, particularly for Patsy and Eddie, they don't seem to have gone back into their boxes so maybe something will come up,' she revealed.

Although she hasn't visited the character in years, Joanna confessed the hard-partying Patsy is never far from her actual life.

After more than 20 years in the iconic role, Joanna said the character has 'never really left me'.

Perhaps a big part of the reason why Joanna is so keen to revisit her most famous character comes down the fact she doesn't want to have any regrets later in life.

'You cram it all in and do what you can because you will regret it when you are 90 and drooling and unable to walk,' she told The Daily Telegraph.

And while she may find it hard to shake off Patsy, Joanna admitted she's not as aloof as her alter-ego during a 2016 interview with the Independent.

'Patsy doesn't care about anything and sometimes you think 'what a relief that would be',' she told the publication at the time.

'But she couldn't bear it without Eddy... Eddy is her lifeline... I do adore that Patsy doesn't know the word for cash, she just says, "hand money".'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
