«Breaking News» Heart-stopping moment dad pushes daughter out of the way to save her life from hit-and-run driver

This is the incredible moment a father was able to push his daughter out the way of a speeding car at the last moment - getting hit and injured in the process.

Los Angeles authorities have released the surveillance video of a hit-and-run incident  in LA's Glassell Park at about 5.15pm on November 16, 2018.

The video shows Michael Devore and his daughter, 11, walking across a zebra crossing, with what appears to be the right of way, as a silver-colored car clearly stops and waits for them to pass while they're halfway across the street.

But, when Devore and daughter are only feet away from the sidewalk, a red car can be seen approaching rapidly from the right.

Devore spots the oncoming car and appears to quickly move the last few feet towards the safety of the sidewalk while also pushing his daughter forward and to the left.

The surveillance video ends as the red car mows over Devore without stopping.

Devore was left with a broken right femur after having been hit by the car and landing on the sidewalk, according to KTLA. He then spent three months recuperating in bed and may need a knee replacement.

His daughter, however, was left with only facial scratches, thanks to his quick thinking. Police believed that her injuries could have been more substantial had Devore not reacted immediately.

Police said that Michael Devore's quick thinking prevented his daughter from receiving more than just facial scratches during the hit-and-run

'I knew right then and there they weren’t going to stop, and my daughter was the one that was in line to be hit,' Devore told KTLA about the incident.

'I’m not a hero, I’m just a dad,' Devore added. 'I just did what I was supposed to do.'

The LAPD said that the driver of the red car did not stop to help the father and daughter.

The hit-and-run is being classed as a felony and police are asking for the public's assistance in helping them find the owner of what they believe to be a red, four-door car, possibly a Toyota Camry.

The driver is said to be a white woman, between the ages of 60 to 65, with gray hair and a heavy build.

The car is said to have a disabled license plate.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call Central Traffic Division detectives at 213-833-3713, Detective Juan Campos at 213-486-0755 or LAPD at 877-527-3247. Anonymous tips can be phone in to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
