«Breaking News» Fitzy and Wippa surprise mum Nicole, who has cancer, with a special Wiggles concert for her son, 2

In a world so full of tragedy and heartache, it is always a welcome relief when a feelgood news story comes along.

And on Wednesday, Nova's Fitzy and Wippa breakfast show provided just that.

The popular duo recently invited mother of one Nicole, who has stage four cancer, into the studio for a surprise call from Simon Pryce from children's music megastars The Wiggles.

Nicole, from Nowra in the south coast region of NSW, wiped away tears as 'Red Wiggle' Simon informed her: 'We've heard a lot about what you've been going through and Fitzy and Wippa have reached out ... and we would love for you to come to our show this Monday at the Enmore Theatre in Newtown.'

Simon revealed he had concert tickets for Nicole and her two-year-old son, Ethan - and a lot more.

'We'd love to meet you, we'd love to spend some time together we'd love to sing some songs together,' said Simon.

'We'll get some photos and sing some songs before and during the show and dedicate the show to you and your family.'  

'By the sounds of it Ethan can teach me a bit more of the choreography than I know!' he added.

'He's pretty good he'd give you a run for your money,' replied Nicole.

Radio host Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald was choked up with tears as he announced Nova were putting $10k into a trust fund for Ethan, 'so he can be looked after a bit more as well', which brought more tears from Nicole.

He also said QT Hotel would be putting Nicole, her own mother and Ethan up in a hotel for a week, and had even organised a special red car for her and Ethan to travel in to see The Wiggles show. 

They would also enjoy breakfast at QT's Signature Restaurant Gowings Bar and Grill, and a long lunch. 

A beaming Nicole said, 'Ethan will be so excited, he runs in the house and every time the big red car comes on the TV and says, "Big red car!"', which made everyone in the studio laugh.

Earlier on the show, Nicole revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant with Ethan, in 2016.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
