«Breaking News» Davinia Taylor, 41, looks a far cry from her wild party girl heyday in London

She credits the humiliation of losing custody of her son Grey, now 11, to ex-husband Dave Gardner in 2010 as a catalyst to keeping her sober.

And Davinia Taylor looked happy and healthy as she celebrated her pal Meg Matthews' 53rd birthday in Primrose Hill, London on Monday night. 

The Hollyoaks actress, 41, who was once famed for her nights out as a party-lover, proved to be absolutely glowing as she made a style statement in an all-black ensemble.

The reformed party girl looked cool in an oversized black blouse and wide-leg trousers, which she teamed with a chic matching coat to keep her warm. 

Proving she hadn't aged a day since her soap star heydey, Davinia sported a dewy coat of make-up, while her blonde locks were tied up into a bun. 

Unable to wipe the smile from her face, the Wigan native proved to be in great spirits for her night out. 

Davinia was a member of the notorious Primrose Hill party set, hitting the scene in the Nineties and early noughties with best friends like Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, and her then husband, Dave Gardner.

But Davinia's new Instagram account reveals a glimpse at the very different lifestyle she enjoys now, as a settled mum of four boys who has turned her back on wild nights in favour of daily workouts in the gym and a diet of green smoothies washed down with charcoal water.

The heiress and former soap actress has endured dark days in the interim, having battled both alcoholism and a bout of post-natal depression she's described as a 'really dark hole' from which she struggled to climb out.

Davinia temporarily lost custody of her eldest son Gray, 11, when she split from her ex-husband following a bitter divorce battle in 2010.  

David Beckham was best man when she and Dave Gardner - who now has two children with the actress Liv Tyler - exchanged vows in a lavish Cheshire ceremony in the summer of 2003, and Victoria Beckham was among the guests.

In 2010, Davinia's ‘unreasonable behaviour’ was cited as grounds for divorce from David, who was awarded a settlement in the region of £1million, before he was awarded custody of Grey, who she could reportedly see every other weekend. 

She said in an interview on ITV's Lorraine show in April: 'That humiliation... spurred me on to keep sober and keep on the program... that was a catalyst that took me into the depths of depression.

 

'The support I received was monumental. I think I would be dead...' she added, citing professional help and support from 'people who've already been there' as having helped her through.

'It's normally so quiet and hush hush [around post-natal depression],' she said at the time. As clear as day I went into a massive deep hole and couldn't get out.' 

Davinia is the daughter of toilet paper tycoon Alan Murphy, which saw her dubbed the 'loo roll heiress'.    

 She shot to fame as Jude Cunningham on Channel 4's Hollyoaks back in 1996, and returned after an 18-year absence in 2016.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
