Police in Benidorm have arrested an alleged fugitive British paedophile who fled to the Costa Blanca after discovering he was under investigation in the UK.
The 37-year-old was held by Spanish officers acting on a European Arrest Warrant and taken to Madrid for an extradition hearing.
The suspect is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing two minors.

Spanish police say the man is facing ten charges in the UK.
Officers released footage of the unnamed Brit when he was arrested, showing him being escorted to an unmarked patrol car by a male and female officer.
He was wearing a T-shirt, shorts and trainers and was not handcuffed but the officers had a firm grip on each arm as they put him in the vehicle.

A spokesman for the National Police in Alicante said: 'National Police officers have arrested a fugitive in Benidorm who allegedly sexually abused children in the UK.
'He was tracked down to the Costa Blanca after fleeing his home country when he was discovered he was under investigation.
'The National Crime Agency has cooperated in this operation.
'The investigation began when a specialist anti-fugitive unit discovered the wanted man was on Spain's eastern coast.

'He was the subject of a European Arrest Warrant for allegedly sexually abusing the two minors over a period of time.
'According to the UK authorities, he would regularly go into their bedroom to sexually molest them. After discovering he was being investigated, he fled to the Costa Blanca where he changed his appearance to hamper his identification and detention.
'He was arrested in Benidorm.'
The detention happened on Wednesday. It was not clear today if the Brit has agreed to be flown back to the UK or is fighting extradition.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
