The Queen is to allow Prince Harry and his pregnant wife Meghan Markle to choose some pieces from the Royal Art Collection to decorate their new home.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are expecting their first child this spring, are currently renovating Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate after announcing their plans to leave Kensington Palace, where they currently reside.

Now, palace insiders have told Vanity Fair that the Queen has invited the pair to choose 'several pieces' from her priceless art collection to hang in their new home.

'Meghan and Harry have been told they can choose some art work for Frogmore Cottage,' said a Palace insider. 'They have been presented with a list of paintings that would be available to them and they are making up their minds as to what they would like to hang in their new home.'

The Queen previously allowed Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge to select some pieces following their marriage. They put the artwork on display at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, and their apartments in Kensington Palace.

MailOnline previously reported that Meghan plans to use vegan paint infused with eucalyptus oil to decorate her nursery for her first child, which is due in April.

The Duchess of Sussex also plans to make the nursery ‘gender-free’ for the next royal baby.

As part of the £3 million renovation of their Grade II listed home Frogmore Cottage, which is on the Queen’s Windsor Estate, the 37-year-old Duchess is reported to be installing child proof windows and a £50,000 eco-friendly boiler.

She has enlisted the help of the star interior designer Vicky Charles who decorated the chic hotel Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, which hosted Meghan’s hen party for three days.

The Royal Collection is one of the largest and most important art collections in the world, and one of the last great European royal collections to remain intact.

Comprising almost all aspects of the fine and decorative arts and running to more than a million objects, the Collection is a unique and valuable record of the personal tastes of kings and queens over the past 500 years.

Following the execution of Charles I in 1649, the greater part of the King’s magnificent possessions was sold by order of Oliver Cromwell, and the Royal Collection has largely been formed since the Restoration of the Monarchy in 1660.

The most important additions to the Royal Collection were made by Frederick, Prince of Wales; George III; George IV; Queen Victoria and Prince Albert; and Queen Mary, consort of King George V.

The Royal Collection is held in trust by The Queen as Sovereign for her successors and the nation. It is not owned by her as a private individual.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
