Meghan Markle's best friend Jessica Mulroney has made Good Morning America producers and network executives exasperated because she refuses to talk about the royal on air, sources exclusively told DailyMail.com.
Mulroney, 39, was brought on as a fashion contributor for the morning show in October, shortly after she joined Meghan and her husband Prince Harry on a royal tour of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
The hope was for Mulroney to help the network gain access to Meghan. But bosses were left completely stunned when Meghan turned up in New York City this week for her baby shower - and Mulroney didn't breathe a word about it, sources told DailyMail.com.
Now executives at ABC News and producers at GMA are clamoring for the Canadian stylist to be fired, saying she brings nothing to the table and only has the job because of her friendship with Meghan.

DailyMail.com has contacted ABC News for comment.
The two women have been friends for more than a decade, meeting when the former Suits star moved to Canada to film the show.
Meghan and Jessica bonded over their mutual love of yoga and often traveled together. Jessica and her husband Ben reportedly hosted low-key dinner parties for Meghan and Prince Harry during their courtship.
But despite Jessica's close ties with the Duchess of Sussex, an executive with ABC News told DailyMail.com that 'when she made her agreement to appear on ABC it was on the condition that we couldn't ask her anything about Meghan Markle.
'Even when she is on set we can't even link her with Meghan.
'Many of us knew this would get us in trouble one day and this week it proved true.
'We had no idea Meghan was in town, but our so called team member knew and didn't help us at all.'
Meghan turned up in New York City last weekend for a lavish and intimate baby shower co-hosted by Mulroney and Amal Clooney, complete with a star-studded guest list including Serena Williams and Gayle King.
The executive added: 'What made things worse was when Gayle King (pictured) showed up at Meghan's baby shower on Wednesday and then discussed it the following day on CBS This Morning, our competitor. Yet we can't book Jessica to talk about it. We get absolutely nothing from Jessica, so we should give her nothing in return'

The next day on her show CBS This Morning, King openly talked about the $500,000 baby shower with her co-hosts.
She revealed that she and other guests were taught how to arrange flowers at the party, and that Markle then donated those arrangements to various charities.
King also said she could not reveal the gift that she purchased for Markle because she was choosing to open the presents back in London with Prince Harry.
The network executive added: 'What made things worse was when Gayle King showed up at Meghan's baby shower on Wednesday and then discussed it the following day on CBS This Morning, our competitor. Yet we can't book Jessica to talk about it.'
'We get absolutely nothing from Jessica, so we should give her nothing in return.'
Producers on Good Morning America are equally as furious with Mulroney for not giving them a heads up about the baby shower.
One said to DailyMail.com: 'Jessica should consider herself very lucky to have such a high profile job on GMA. She does not have it because she is talented, she has it because of her connection to Meghan Markle.'

They continued: 'We used to laugh many years ago when Chelsea Clinton had a deal with NBC and it provided basically no access to her family. However now the joke is on us as we have our own Chelsea in Jessica.
'ABC management have egg on their face. They should fire Jessica immediately as she brings nothing to the show.
'They could easily hire an American stylist like Rachel Zoe to be GMA's fashion contributor. At least Rachel is famous and recognized in America.
'It's just so embarrassing and an absolute joke.'
And despite Mulroney working with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and other high-profile clients, the GMA producer said Mulroney only has her job as a contributing fashion stylist on the show because of her connection to Meghan.
They added: 'We all laughed when she was hired and she said ''hard work does pay off'' – no princess you got your job because of the duchess not because you were a recognized American fashion stylist.
'What also made eyes roll on set was how tacky the entire baby shower week was – we are supposed to reflect America in the morning.
'Flaunting your wealth like a Kardashian is not what our viewers want to see when they wake up.'
The baby shower is reported to have cost around $500,000, with a large chunk coming from renting out the Mark Hotel Grand Penthouse Suite for $150,000.
Meghan flew into New York from London on a private plane, also flying private on the way home - with Amal Clooney paying for the flight.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
