«Breaking News» The Man Whisperer Kenny Mammarella-D’Cruz: How to change your life

Despite our best intentions, most of us are destined to fail our New Year's Resolutions before the year has even begun.

But a life coach and self-styled 'man whisperer' has claimed it's not too late for you to overhaul your life if you follow five simple steps.

Kenny Mammarella-D’Cruz, a London-based personal development consultant, says it's never too late to quit bad habits and adopt a happier, healthier approach to life.

He believes New Year's Resolutions often set people up for failure, but stresses that January can nevertheless be a good time to start considering changes as it signals a fresh start.

Here, Kenny shares his five tips that will help you become the best version of yourself this year.

1. Be authentic

Kenny claims being your 'true self' requires being willing to be vulnerable and stepping out of your comfort zone.

One way of doing this is by seeking feedback from someone who has walked a similar path to help you stay on course.

Explaining that those closest to you may not be the best people for the task, Kenny says: 'Get some outside accountability, preferably from someone who has walked a similar path.

'A group, an accountability partner, a coach, a mentor, a big brother who has lived a bigger dream and keeps living it as normal.

'Who do you know, or have you seen that continually shows up as authentic and doesn't make a big song and dance about it? They are the people to approach and get on your side.

'Remember that it's generally the thought of things that causes the most fear, once action has been taken it's not so bad - in fact it's a huge relief, a joy and soon a new normal.'

2. Look after yourself

Kenny believes your mind and body are your greatest assets and therefore it's important to have a healthy balance of diet, exercise and sleep.

He suggests using January as a time to get your wellbeing in order and have check-ups for eyesight, cancer, blood and STIs.

He advises that developing a structure for looking after yourself can be done in tandem with friends, workmates and even family.

'Once you know what's going on with your body, it would be wise to get a structure in place for good food, enough sleep, enjoyable exercise good things to do with friends - social health is important too - then to kick this into gear why not celebrate with a massage,' he says.

'Wellbeing is time and space for you, to feel good, nurtured, nourished - as well as pushed into gentle excellence.

'You don't have to go it alone - you may have friends, workmates or family who might want to join you with some of the above, so enjoy the ride rather than making it an uphill struggle.'

3. Get organised

Kenny recommends getting organised to maximize efficiency and free up time for focusing on yourself.

He suggests beginning by creating a list of priorities and then working backwards from each goal to outline the steps needed for success.

He says: 'Once your new priorities and order are in place, then get the rest of your house in order by clearing the clutter, deleting whatever feels dead, having a holding space for things you're not sure about, making space for a simpler flow

'Do whatever relieves the most pressure first, then feel how freely your creative energy can flow as you go for more relief and greater joy.

'Being organised doesn't mean that you have to do it all your self. Get some help in and delegate the things you're not great at, leaving you space to do what brings you joy. A clear head can hear life's whispering guidance.'

4. Find the root of your issues

Kenny believes knowing what's holding you back from achieving your goals is vital for moving forward and becoming a new person.

He recommends using breathing exercises to better understand your current issues and emotions. When going through an emotion he suggests taking a deep breath and following the feeling back to it's source.

He says: 'Your breath is the vehicle of emotions so get into the emotional ride back in time and in a flash you'll find yourself back 'at the scene of the crime'.

'You're never angry for the reason you think you are, so follow the feeling back and see what needs healing so it stops rearing it's ugly head in the present.

'If you're not much of a feelings person, ask friends and family when you seemed to have changed and what was going on in your life - or in your family home - around that time, so you get an insight and your first clues.

5. Get help

Kenny says once you are aware of the root of your problem there are various options available for seeking help if necessary including therapy and visiting a Voice Dialogue practitioner.

'Although therapy may cost a lot of time and money and be a bit too heady whilst barking up a few wrong trees.

'Therapists deal with the past, coaches with the future and pacing the present to achieve your goals.

'A Voice Dialogue practitioner might help balance the different parts of you, so your inner man can lead the way, your inner critic can have his volume turned down, your inner protector can be told the war is over and you're in alignment and ready for natural success.'

Kenny ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
