«Breaking News» Kate sparkles in Gucci as she steps out for a glittering gala dinner at the V&A

The Duchess of Cambridge looked elegant as she arrived for a glittering gala dinner in London on Wednesday night. 

Kate, 37, opted for an elegant powder pink gown from Gucci as she joined female leaders at the 100 Women in Finance charity event at the Victoria & Albert Museum. 

The dinner will benefit The Royal Foundation's Head's Together programme 'Mentally Healthy Schools'. 

The outing comes just hours after the royal attended The Royal Foundation's 'Mental Health in Education' conference.

The Duchess of Cambridge appeared in excellent spirits as she arrived for the event, beaming as she stepped out her car at the Victoria & Albert Museum, which is just a stone's throw from her Kensington Palace home

The conference at Mercers Hall today brought together delegates from across the mental health and education sectors to explore and discussed the benefits of collaborative working and what more can be done to tackle mental health issues in schools. 

The event, hosted by broadcaster and presenter Kate Silverton, saw a full day of speakers, panel discussions and breakout sessions. 

Introducing the Duchess today, Silverton said: 'As you all know (she) has been a great driving force behind much of the royal foundation supporting children in their earliest years.

'Your Royal Highness it's an absolute honour to have you with us here today, thank you for all the work that you are doing in this field.'

Addressing the crowd she said: 'It’s really so exciting to hear everyone here speaking with your wealth of experience about the importance of mental health and particularly the emotional development of our children and teachers.

'What we have all been discussing here today really brings to light the vital role teachers are playing in supporting our youngest children’s mental health.

'Thank you all for your dedication to this important cause, whether you work in schools, universities, charities or elsewhere.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
