Jayme Closs has taken comfort in the cards and letters she has received from supporters since she escaped her kidnapper a month ago, her family has revealed.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the girl's family said she was grateful for all the well wishes she had received.
'Jayme and her family wish to extend their deepest gratitude for the incredible gifts and generous donations that she has received from all over the country and around the world.
'Jayme greatly appreciates each and every gift, as well as the many cards and letters.
'The many kind words have been a source of great comfort to her,' it read.
Jayme escaped from the home of Jake Thomas Patterson, 21, on January 10. She had been missing since October 15 last year when her parents James and Denise were shot dead in their home in Barron, Wisconsin.
Patterson had been keeping the 13-year-old in the basement of his home.

She was able to escape when he went out on January 10. She had been forced to crawl under his bed but, once she heard that he was gone, got out and ran for her life.
Patterson had been watching her before he abducted her and told prosecutors that he decided she would be 'the one' he wanted to take after seeing her get on the school bus.
The extent of how he tortured her is yet to be seen.
Patterson is in custody awaiting his next court date.
Jayme told police that on the night she was abducted, she awoke to her dog's barking, then woke her parents as a car came up the driveway.
Her father went to the front door as Jayme and her mother hid in a bathtub, according to the complaint. Jayme told police she heard a gunshot and knew her dad had been killed.

The den was filled with soft toys, a dirty mattress, women's clothing, and women's makeup
Patterson — dressed in black and wearing a facemask — broke down the bathroom door. He taped Jayme's mouth, hands and ankles before pulling her out of the bathtub and shooting her mother in the head, the complaint said.
He dragged Jayme outside, threw her in the trunk of his car and drove off, according to the complaint.
Patterson took her to a cabin and said no one could know she was there or 'bad things could happen to her,' the complaint said.
When he left or had friends over, he sealed her under the bed with tote boxes and weights so she couldn't crawl out, sometimes for hours, according to the complaint.
When his father visited, Patterson told investigators, he turned up the radio to conceal any noise she might make.
She was forced to live in a squalid basement 'cell' strewn with soft toys, filthy bedding and women's clothes.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
