«Breaking News» Family of R Kelly 'sex slave' vow to check on her welfare in Chicago

The family of a woman living with R Kelly in Chicago's Trump Tower are demanding to carry out a welfare check on her if police can ensure their own safety.

Relatives of Joycelyn Savage - who supported R Kelly at a court hearing last week - fear she is being held as a 'sex slave'.

Chicago police have reportedly checked on her well-being but the family do not trust their findings.

However they fear for their own safety and want law enforcement to back them if they visit the residence, TMZ reported.

The family still hope to 'get through' to Joycelyn and persuade her to abandon the singer, but they claim to have received threats from allies of R Kelly.

However R Kelly's attorney, Steven Greenberg, told the website that police in Chicago and Atlanta had 'both done wellness checks'.

Last month two women - Savage and Azriel Clary - told police they were 'not being held against their will and were in good health and spirits' at the Chicago tower block.

Savage and Clary supported the 52-year-old singer at a court hearing in Chicago on Saturday.

But her father Timothy Savage said he feared she is suffering from Stockholm syndrome - a psychological condition which sees hostages become attached to their captors.

He said his daughter, who met Kelly when she was 19, has not seen any family in more than two years.

Yesterday Kelly - real name Robert Sylvester Kelly - posted $100,000 bail that will allow him to go free while awaiting trial on sexual abuse charges.

It is claimed that he sexually abused four people dating back to 1998, including three girls who were underage at the time.

Hours earlier, the R&B star pleaded not guilty to the allegations after spending the weekend behind bars.

He said little during the brief arraignment in Chicago, telling the judge only his name. His lawyers spoke on his behalf.

The singer-songwriter was arrested on Friday on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

A judge set bond at a million dollars (£760,000), meaning Kelly had to post 10 per cent of that amount to be released.

He will be forbidden from having any contact with females younger than 18.

The recording artist has been trailed for decades by allegations that he violated under-age girls and women and held some as virtual slaves.

Kelly has consistently denied sexual misconduct, and he was acquitted of child pornography charges in 2008.

Lawyer Michael Avenatti, who said he represents two Kelly accusers, said his team gave prosecutors a second video on Monday that shows Kelly sexually abusing a minor.

Mr Avenatti - also the lawyer for Stormy Daniels - previously gave prosecutors video evidence that he said showed Kelly having sex with an under-age girl.

Each count of the new charges carries up to seven years in prison, making it possible for Kelly to receive a sentence up to 70 years.

In the documentary 'Surviving R. Kelly', which was aired in early January, several women accused him of having sex with underage girls.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
