«Breaking News» Emmerdale SPOILER: Jacob Gallagher manipulated by Maya Stepney to turn against David Metcalfe

Maya Stepney is set to manipulate Jacob Gallagher into turning against his adopted dad David Metcalfe in scenes set to air on Emmerdale next week.

The teacher (Louisa Clein) and her beau (Matthew Wolfenden) are planning to enjoy a passionate night away together, but -out of jealousy- the groomed teen is keen to hatch a plot to sabotage it. 

As Maya heads to the hotel, David advises her that he'll be there in time for dinner, but it seems that Jacob (played by Joe-Warren Plant) has something up his sleeve to stop it from happening.

In images from the upcoming episode of the soap, Jacob can be seen seething as he watches the pair share a passionate kiss in front of him.

And later, as Maya waits in the hotel, she takes out her anger on David for being late and tells him he shouldn't even bother coming at all.

But perhaps his adopted dad's disappearance has something to do with Jacob, as the unexpected circumstances may lead to him spending the night with Maya.

Jacob finally broke off his relationship with Maya several weeks ago after their affair was almost exposed, admitting he could do better after she scolded him for sending her a shirtless snap.

Since then things have looked up for the schoolboy, as he grows closer to Liv and they enjoy a low-key date together.

Sadly Maya catches on to the pair and tips off Liv's brother Aaron - who storms in to find the pair cuddling after she opened up to Jacob about her asexuality. 

In a fit of anger Aaron throws Jacob out leaving Liv mortified, and Maya is pleased that she finally has him back under her thumb.

Shocking: As Maya heads to the hotel, David advises her that he'll be there in time for dinner, but it seems that Jacob has something up his sleeve to stop it from happening.

But her plan falls apart the next day when Aaron lets slip that she was the one who told him about Jacob and Liv, leaving him furious and demanding she stay away.

Cutting all ties with Maya, Jacob then reveals he's going to tell her boyfriend - and his dad - David about their affair, though of course he is still unaware that their 'romance' is illegal. 

Emmerdale has worked closely with charity Barnardo's on the storyline, which aims to honestly portray the crime of child grooming. 

Actress Louisa recently spoke to the Mirror about the storyline, explaining the soap were hoping to show a new side of grooming by having the victim be a teenage boy.

She said: 'We see it on social media – a lot of people are like get in there, lad, you've got yourself an older woman, a cougar.

'But it is still abuse, it is still sexual exploitation.

'If it was an older man to a younger girl or boy, ­immediately people would be saying that is wrong. We are also getting a lot of that on social media. People are really reacting strongly.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
