«Breaking News» Drunk man walks on high-voltage power lines for THREE HOURS before being rescued unhurt

A drunk man in China has been rescued after walking back and forth on a set of high-voltage power cables for three hours, according to firefighters. 

The man climbed to the top of a utility pole before moving onto the overhead electricity cables about 32 feet above the ground, it is said.

He was reportedly unhurt after firefighters climbed up a nearby tree to save him.

The incident took place on Wednesday in Quanzhou, south-east China's Fujian Province, according to the Fire-fighting Branch of Quanzhou Public Security Bureau.

Firefighters said the man was walking on one power line while holding onto another two when they arrived. They immediately instructed the local energy company to cut the electricity from the cables.

Footage taken by an onlooker shows that a large crowd of residents had gathered under the power lines to watch the man in awe.

Firefighters tried to talk him down using a mega phone, but he refused to follow their instructions.   

Firefighters had to place an inflatable mattress under the power lines while looking for another solution. 

One of the firefighters said to Pear Video they had to move the inflatable mattress to underneath the man whenever he moved in order to protect him.

After a three-hour stand-off, the fire brigade dispatched a cherry picker to the scene to help with the rescue operation. 

Two firefighters got into the cradle of the cherry picker and were lifted to a height closer to the man while their colleagues climbed up a tree near the man.

The two firefighters on the cherry picker tried to calm the man while one of their colleagues on the tree seized an opportunity to grab the man towards him. The firefighter then pushed the man down towards the inflatable mattress.

The man landed on the mattress safely. 

He was unharmed and has been handed to the local police for further investigation, said the fire brigade.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
