«Breaking News» Dean Wells reveals how producers 'manipulated' MAFS villain Ines Basic

Ines Basic is one of the most controversial stars in Married At First Sight history.

And while the Bosnian bride has received brutal backlash from viewers, one person who has sympathy for her is last year's MAFS villain Dean Wells.

Speaking to Who, the 40-year-old said that he 'feels bad' for the outspoken brunette - and revealed how producers may have 'manipulated' her on-screen behaviour.

'They [producers] really manipulate you into thinking it’s all a bit of fun, it’s all a bit of a joke and it’s all a funny game that people will see through,' Dean explained.

'I actually feel really bad for Ines mainly because I think she’s actually having fun with it.'

Dean went on to call Ines 'cheeky,' theorising that both she and Sam Ball were probably just joking around and following instructions from producers during their secret affair.

'They [producers] really manipulate you into thinking it’s all a bit of fun, it’s all a bit of a joke and it’s all a funny game that people will see through,' Dean explained 

'But when they edit it on the show, they put the most serious music with it,' he said.

Dean isn't the only Married At First Sight star to stick up for Ines.

On Friday, Martha Kalifatidis revealed what the 'bride from hell' is really like behind the scenes of the controversial Channel Nine show.

Speaking to Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny, Martha explained: 'She says it how it is, she is raw, she's like a straight shooter.'

However, the makeup artist said she thought the backlash and trolling of Ines was unfair: 'It's hard as a friend to see one of your friends copping it really bad.'

'You guys do not see, you see one per cent. Days of filming are 16 hours, you see maybe half an hour of that.'

'Ines is actually like a really sweet and warm and caring girl, she's actually really sensitive,' Martha said of the Bosnian beauty

Jumping to the Bosnian beauty's defence, she said: 'Ines is actually like a really sweet and warm and caring girl, she's actually really sensitive.

'It's shocking she doesn't come across like that whatsoever. Ines has actually got a sweet, nice, caring side.'

Claiming that it has come down to editing, Martha admitted: 'Her fight with Bronson, I have had fights like that with Michael (her TV husband), which are never shown. I have had my moments, and I have done that as well.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
