«Breaking News» Daniel Ricciardo, 29, denies he is dating Jessica Gomes, 34, but admits the rumours are 'positive'

Australian Formula One ace Daniel Ricciardo has flatly denied he is dating model Jessica Gomes - but admits the rumours are at least 'positive'.

As reported by The Daily Telegraph on Thursday, the sportsman claimed he first heard about the supposed romance from his friends over the festive season. 

'It's funny. When I got home a few of my mates sent me a message saying, "Mate, you're on the front page of the paper,"' Daniel was quoted as saying.

He continued: 'And they were like, "Apparently you're dating a model." And I was like, "Oh, gosh." So I don't know where that came from.'

Daniel did admit though that is was 'positive' to be linked with brunette beauty Jessica, who is five years his senior. 

'At least it was a positive news story. I'm trying to see the bright side,' the racing star said.

In December last year, the Herald Sun it was reported that Daniel had been discreetly dating fashion bombshell Jessica for several weeks.

The publication wrote that 'well-placed sources confirmed the pair were a turbocharged item', and pointed to just how much the couple had in common.

Both Jessica and Daniel come from Perth, and they did a photoshoot together for the Herald Sun in 2015.

On top of that, Jessica is an F1 fan and drove in the celebrity challenge at the 2013 Australian Grand Prix. 

'I really hand it to those guys, it's tough out there. I'm so glad Daniel is doing so well,' Gomes said in 2015. 

Ricciardo split with his long-term girlfriend Jemma Boskovich, 24, in 2016.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
