A man caught on camera punching two women to the ground outside a nightclub claims he was the victim and the video has been taken out of context.
Arka Sangbarani Oroojian, 30, turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department on Tuesday night and was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
However, the man who LAPD said was 6'3" and 270 pounds has said he defended himself by delivering multiple blows because one woman spat on him and another hit him, knocking him to the ground, after a dispute over hot dogs.

Arka Sangbarani Oroojian, 30, claims he was the victim in an altercation where he was seen punching two women to the ground multiple times Friday night
Two women challenged him for being 'rude' to a street vendor. Oroojian claims a woman hit him first, causing the 270-pound man to fall to the ground, and when he got up he threw blows
Speaking in a Thursday interview after paying a $90,000 bond Wednesday, Oroojian - also known as Arka the Virtue on the LA music scene - suggested the reaction he'd received was unfair.
Oroojian, of Sylmar in California, has worked in private security according to his now-deleted LinkedIn page.
On his also-deleted Facebook account he described himself as a 'writer and a research scholar of Eastern philosophy'.
'I can't believe it happened. I was defending myself,' he told KTLA. 'Because I'm a big person, I'm being crucified all over social media right now.'
Oroojian said after he heard the women 'cussing him out' behind his back as he got into a disagreement with a vendor over the quality of his food: 'The woman spits on me, and her friend attacks me — physically hits me.'
The heavily-built man claimed the woman's move resulted in him losing balance and tumbling to the ground, then when he got up instead of walking away, he felt he 'had to defend myself'.
That's when the recording began.
He was filmed attacking the two women outside the venue in downtown LA on Friday night.
He complained: 'Because I'm a big person, I'm being crucified all over social media right now'
Detective Meghan Aguilar told ABC it occurred around 1am when one of the women told Oroojian: 'Hey, order your hot dog so we can get our food.'
He is said to have flown into a rage and began bullying the employee after being charged $6 for a hot dog, boasting: 'I own the streets of LA.'
Multiple people in the video can be heard laughing and cheering as Oroojian pummeled the women.
He hurled one of the women to the ground and then punched her friend in the face as she confronted him.
Onlookers cheered as the floored woman managed to stand back up before being immediately punched to the ground again.
Oroojian was filmed dropping the second woman seconds later as she tried to defend herself.

Despite this, the hefty man claimed in the new interview that he 'retreated' as soon as he 'caught a moment'.
Oroojian encourages fans to 'stay calm' and follow their dreams at the end of his 2015 Money and the Power music video and even gives out his cell phone number so people can contact him for advice.
He also says in the video 'f**k a 9 to 5' but said in the KTLA chat he was worried the incident might affect his job as a cardiac sonographer.
The LAPD said one woman broke her finger in the incident, and both went to the hospital and suffered concussions.
One of the victims, who is a nursing student, was left with bruises to her jaw.
She told NBC that another vendor had offered the man a free hot dog in an attempt to diffuse the situation, but when that failed she and her friend decided to intervene.
His attorney Cristopher Reyes said if he really wanted to hurt the women he could have 'easily'
'He gets up in the hot dog vendor's face and is like saying "I own the streets of LA". We said something like just leave the guy alone, what's your problem? Just go, you're getting the free hot dog. The next thing that I remember is he hits my friend.
'I ran up to him and told him to not touch her, to not touch my friend, and he hits me.
'People were laughing and cheering, like as if it were a show. We can't believe that nobody did anything.'
The father of the woman said in a Facebook post that has since been deleted, his daughter didn't actually know the woman she tried to help, however she jumped in to save her.
Mike Watson added that the man had delivered even more blows to the women before the camera started rolling.
Although Oroojian maintains he wasn't sturdy enough to withstand being hit by one of the women involved, his attorney suggested his client could have harmed them more seriously if he wished.
'Obviously, if that was his intent, he would easily be able to accomplish that,' Cristopher Reyes told KTLA.
'That's why when he would hit one of the women in response to what he was receiving, they would get right back up and the altercation would continue.'
Oroojian is due in court February 22.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
