«Breaking News» Trump's inaugural committee spent $1.4million at his OWN DC hotel

Donald Trump spent a record-breaking $104million on parties to celebrate his inauguration including huge sums paid to firms with a personal connection to him.

The 45th President spent $1.4million at his own hotel in Washington DC and handed $26million to a party planning firm run by Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, a close friend and former adviser to wife Melania.

He also paid $2.7million to stage a rendition of Frank Sinatra's New York, New York, using showgirls flown in from Vegas by associate Steve Wynn.

Over the course of three showpiece events, $130,000 was spent on Tiffany salad bowls, $130,000 went on seat cushions, and $10,000 was spent on makeup.

The figures were revealed by ABC, which reviewed spending documents.

In addition to the $26million handed to her company, documents show that Winston-Wolkoff was also paid $1.6million directly.

Shortly after the inauguration, Winston-Wolkoff - a former Vogue employee - was announced as an unpaid adviser to Melania.

However, she found herself out in the cold just a month later after the New York Times revealed her bumper pay-day from the inauguration.

Winston-Wolkoff denied that the two were linked, insisting that it was part of a wider cull of volunteer contracts at the White House.

Speaking about the inauguration at the time, she said: 'Every dollar of the money that my company was responsible for was pre-approved, fully accounted for and submitted to the presidential inaugural committee over a year ago.'

The new documents have revealed that many of her staff were holed up at the Trump hotel in DC during the festivities, with thousands of dollars spent on food and drink.

A single couple working for Wolkoff during this period billed the inauguration committee for $1,835 in room service charges over three days.

Meanwhile $2.7million was given to a firm run by Brad Parscale, a 'digital guru' on Trump's 2016 campaign, for digital services over the inauguration.

Parscale, a digital consultant who has worked for the Trump Winery and the Eric Trump Foundation in the past, is also managing the President's 2020 election bid.

Between now and election day next year, he plans to spend around $1billion, according to an interview he gave Fox News earlier this month.

Democrats, who now control the House Oversight Committee, are expected to delve into the figures - just the latest item on a long list of Trump dealings they have pledged to investigate.

But Brett Kappel, a campaign finance lawyer who spoke to ABC, said there were few hard and fast rules about how the money could be spent, and it is not clear from the documents whether Trump was in breach of any of them.

At issue will be whether guests at the Trump hotel paid fair prices for goods they purchased while staying there.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
