«Breaking News» Shamed ex-Labour MP 'pretends to snort cocaine' in bizarre video

A shamed ex-Labour MP who lied to police to avoid a speeding fine has been seen 'pretending to snort cocaine' in a bizarre video.

Fiona Onasanya had previously been booted out of the Labour Party after being convicted of perverting the course of justice.

Now a short video clip has revealed the moment the 35-year-old pretended to consume a class-A drug.

In the video she faces the camera and says: 'I've just come out of a meeting and I feel inspired'. She then uses what looks like a credit card to mimic chopping up a line of cocaine, before bending down towards a table and snorting the imaginary substance.

It is unclear when and where the video was filmed.

The Peterborough MP has already been suspended and urged to stand down by the party after being found guilty at the Old Bailey in December, the Mirror reported.

Labour confirmed she had been expelled before Christmas after party chairman Ian Lavery told her local paper, the Peterborough Telegraph, that it would run a candidate in any by-election.

However, in a column in the Peterborough Telegraph, Onasanya indicated she would continue as an MP.

Failing to address her conviction, she said constituents should 'rest assured' that she would remain their representative.

At present, parliamentary rules require the removal of an MP who is jailed for 12 months or more. But if the sentence is less than that a recall petition can force a by-election if it is signed by more than 10 percent of the electorate in the Cambridgeshire seat.

Chairman Lavery said the MP should quit and highlighted that a petition could be started to remove her from her seat.

On Friday afternoon the Labour party sent an email to members calling for them to attend a campaign day in Peterborough 'ahead of a potential by-election'.

The party is yet to confirm the selection time table and a meeting is due to take place Monday 7 January.

Previous parliamentary candidate and current Peterborough councillor Ed Murphy said he would apply if he meets the eligibility criteria, however it also emerged that Lisa Forbes, who lost at the 2015 election is the frontrunner for the seat.

Ms Onasanya, a solicitor and former Cambridge councillor, originally took the seat in 2017 from conservative MP Stewart Jackson.

Speaking to the Peterborough Telegraph Mr Lavery said: 'Fiona isn't a member of the Labour Party, she isn't a Labour MP' and repeated the party's call for her to resign her seat.

He added: 'We would be raring to go for a by-election. We're up for it.

'The people in Peterborough want a Labour MP - they voted for a Labour MP the last time and I'm absolutely confident from what we have to offer we would win a by-election in the very near future if one was to be held.'

Onasanya had been convicted after a retrial of colluding with her brother Festus after her car was clocked going 41mph in a 30mph zone in the village of Thorney near Peterborough in July 2017.

The court was informed that she was sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) to complete, but it was sent back naming the guilty driver as Aleks Antipow, an acquaintance of her brother Festus, who was away visiting his parents in Russia.

Festus pleaded guilty to three counts of perverting the course of justice over speeding.

The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
