«Breaking News» New probes demanded into murders of JFK, RFK, MLK Jr. and Malcolm X

A group of concerned US citizens are calling for new probes into the murders of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.

The Truth and Reconciliation Committee (TRC) has alleged in a statement released on Saturday that conspiracies at play in each of the four assassinations were covered up by the government.

'On the occasion of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a group of over 60 prominent American citizens is calling upon Congress to reopen the investigations into the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy,' the statement said. 

'The joint statement calls for Congress to establish firm oversight on the release of all government documents related to the Kennedy presidency and assassination, as mandated by the JFK Records Collection Act of 1992.'

The group has also called for a public inquest into the deaths, to elicit 'testimony from living witnesses, legal experts, investigative journalists, historians and family members of the victims' and stated the undertaking 'would be modeled on the Truth and Reconciliation hearings held in South Africa after the fall of apartheid.' 

The statement was released on January 19, four days after MLK's birthday, and two days before Monday's observance of the national holiday in his honor.

The group has called the deaths of JFK, RFK, MLK and Malcolm X 'organized acts of political violence' and 'the four major assassinations of the 1960s that together had a disastrous impact on the course of American history.'        

'John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were each in his own unique way attempting to turn the United States away from war toward disarmament and peace, away from domestic violence and division toward civil amity and justice,' the statement, which was co-written Adam Walinsky, a speechwriter and top aide of Senator Kennedy, said.

'Their killings were together a savage, concerted assault on American democracy and the tragic consequences of these assassinations still haunt our nation.'

The document specifically highlighted 10 points of agreement among the signatories relating to the death of JFK, of which many experts, including one of the surgeons who tried to save JFK's life, have said they believe convicted killer Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. The group called its joint statement 'the opening of a long campaign aimed at shining a light on dark national secrets.'

The document specifically highlighted 10 points of agreement among the signatories relating to the death of JFK, of which many experts, including one of the surgeons who tried to save JFK's life, have said they believe convicted killer Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. 

Under the heading, 'A Joint Statement on the Kennedy Assassination and Its Ongoing Cover-up,' the statement alleges that the House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded in 1979 that 'President John F. Kennedy was probably killed as the result of a conspiracy.'

Individuals who have signed the statement so far include Oliver Stone, Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, Rob Reiner, David Crosby, Mort Sahl.

Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and MLK's nephew Isaac Newton Farris Jr., have also signed it.

The group contends masses of evidence shows JFK's assassination 'was organized at high levels of the U.S. power structure, and was implemented by top elements of the US national security apparatus using, among others, figures in the criminal underworld to help carry out the crime and cover-up.'

The group, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (pictured_ contends masses of evidence shows JFK's assassination 'was organized at high levels of the U.S. power structure, and was implemented by top elements of the US national security apparatus using, among others, figures in the criminal underworld to help carry out the crime and cover-up' and that RFK intended to reopen the investigation into JFK's murder before his assassination in 1968

RFK is also said by the group to have come to the same conclusion and that he had intended to reopen the investigation into JFK's murder before his assassination in 1968.  

The TRC also seeks to reopen the Robert F. Kennedy assassination case, calling Sirhan Sirhan’s conviction the result of 'a mockery of a trial,' along with those of MLK and Malcolm X.

'The forensic evidence alone demonstrates that Sirhan Sirhan did not fire the fatal shot that killed Senator Kennedy – a conclusion reached, among others, by Dr. Thomas Noguchi, the Los Angeles County Coroner who performed the official autopsy on RFK.'

The TRC statement alleges that public transparency law has been routinely defied by the CIA and other federal agencies.

'The Trump White House has allowed the CIA to continue its defiance of the law, even though the JFK Records Act called for the full release of relevant documents in 2017,' the statement read.

'As the public transparency campaign proceeds, citizens across the country will be encouraged to add their names to the petition,' the statement read.

'The national effort seeks to confront the forces behind America’s democratic decline, a reign of secretive power that long precedes the recent rise of authoritarianism.'

The document is expected to be continuously updated. 

'I will be adding names and attaching documents to this as names are added,' Andrea Skolnick said, in a comment below the post containing the statement, on TRC's Facebook page.

Skolnick posted that she would be linking extensively to social media sites belonging to those who have signed on to the statement, so they could all be reached to answer questions from TRC members and readers.

'I can only add 200 links to each document I create so there will be multiple documents created and linked together,' she said. Each signatory is expected to have their own document thread containing background and contact information.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
