Megyn Kelly enjoyed her first week of unemployment by heading to jury duty on Thursday.
The former NBC host had been scheduled to perform her civic duty back in late October, but requested an extension as she and NBC went to war over her exit from the network.
That battle was settled last week with the news that Kelly would receive a lump sum that was somewhere between $25 and $30 million, which would pay out in full the $69 million contract she had signed with the network back in 2017 for a three-year deal.
Kelly was seen making her way into court in jeans and knee-high boots while bundling up against the cold in a green Vivienne Westwood coat that retails for $500.
The out-of-work host, 48, also took some time to pose for a camera man who suddenly appeared as she arrived at the court building.

Kelly tweeted about her big day before arriving at court, writing: 'About to begin jury duty this morning. Slightly concerned about the effectiveness of the “I’m far too busy” excuse this time.'
One follower quickly responded to that by writing: 'Don’t worry, they rarely pick racists.'
She later retweeted an individual responding to recent allegations being made by members of the media that President Trump is blackmailing Senator Lindsay Graham
That individual wrote: 'again, lots of Professional Dog Whistle Hearers seem to have no ability or interest in divining the implication of "Lindsey Graham is being blackmailed."'
NBC News announced on Friday that the network was parting ways with Kelly after less than two years.
Kelly had been off the air since October, with the network booting her from Today one day after she defended the practice of black face.
Exit negotiations had dragged on for months until Friday night, when NBC released a statement shortly after 9pm stating: 'The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC.'

Nielsen ratings show that in the two months since Kelly was ousted over her remarks on blackface, viewership has increased close to 20 percent in both the key demo and total audience.
What's more, NBC is saving a whole lot of cash after moving the show back into Studio 1A. They will no longer have to pay the additional costs associated with Kelly's hour, which aired in front of a studio audience in its own larger studio that underwent a $10million renovation prior to her debut.
In the fourth quarter, total viewers increased by 15 percent and viewers in the key demographic of adults aged 25 to 54 were up 19 percent.
The third hour is retaining far more viewers now as well, with numbers slowly climbing back up to where they were before the arrival of Kelly.
The show is also up across the board compared to the same time period last year, and up double digits in total.
Kelly meanwhile took some time to go after NBC late night host Seth Meyers on Twitter days before her split with NBC, after the late night host responded to President Trump's Oval Office remarks by tweeting: 'Is this Oval Office: SVU?'
She fired back at that remark by tweeting: 'I’m sure that’s hysterical to the families of the murder victims the president just discussed.'
Meyers was the first to call out the Today host for her support of blackface in a segment taped for Late Night just hours after she made her remarks.
Meyers summarized the scandal before stating that he did not feel comfortable speaking on the subject, and welcoming writer Amer Ruffin to the stage.
Ruffin then spent the next three minutes offering up a blistering and frequently hysterical response to Kelly's remarks earlier in the day.

Farewell: Exit negotiations had dragged on for months until Friday night, when NBC released a statement shortly after 9pm stating: 'The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC'
She also got in a few digs of her own, stating at one point: 'You may think the meanest thing I could do is call Megyn Kelly's words racist, but really, the meanest thing I did was tell everyone she's 47.'
Ruffin then added: 'Which, if you round up, is 50. She's 50. Tell everybody.'
Sources had previously told DailyMail.com that she had been asking for an additional $10 million on top of what was left on her contract.
Kelly's future is still in limbo, but she did get some words of encouragement back in November when Lachlan Murdoch was asked about his former employee at The New York Times' Dealbook conference.
'I'm a big fan of Megyn's. We didn't want her to leave Fox,' said Murdoch, speaking publicly for the first time in his new role as the head of New Fox.
He then confirmed however the news that DailyMail.com broke soon after Kelly's exit - she will not be making a return to the network.
'I'm very happy with our current lineup on Fox News and we won't be making any changes there,' said Murdoch.
When asked if there was any chance Kelly might find a new job after the 'damage' that was caused by her acrimonious split with NBC, Murdoch said: 'I hope she does because she's very talented.'
Kelly does not have a non-compete clause and is free to go work with any network she wants, though there are no takers as of yet.

That battle was settled last week ...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
