A survivalist has been charged with murdering a father who was shot dead inside his tent in front of his family at a Malibu campsite earlier this year after being arrested in connection with a spate of random shootings and burglaries in California.
Anthony Rauda, 42, was charged with the murder of pharmaceutical executive Tristan Beaudette, 35, on Monday.
He was also charged with 10 counts of attempted murder and five counts of second-degree burglary. Beaudette was murdered in June this year while he was camping with his daughters aged two and four.
He was shot in the torso through their tent in a cold blooded random killing which shocked the community. He had had taken his d aughters away from their home to allow their mother to study for an exam in peace.
For months, his killing went unsolved along with 10 other attempted murders and burglaries which span two years.

Police arrested Rauda in October this year after being caught trying to steal food in a different beach park. He was holding a rifle at the time and was dressed all in black.
He was due to make an initial court appearance in Los Angeles on Monday.
Rauda is a serial burglar who is believed to have been living in the bush when he was arrested in October earlier this year.
At an initial court appearance in November, he had to wear spit guards as he was wheeled into the courtroom by guards.
The crime spree began in November 2016 when he started opening fire on unsuspecting campers.
On that occasion, he allegedly opened fire on a man who was sleeping in a hammock in another Malibu park.
He shot into two cars in 2017 but no one was injured. On June 18, four days before Beaudette's death, he shot into a Tesla.
In addition to the shootings, he has been charged with five burglaries in the celebrity-populated town of Calabasas.
Rauda was arrested in October in a Malibu park where he was found stealing food from nearby buildings. He was dressed all in black, was carrying a rifle and was described as a survivalist at the time. His face was obscured by law enforcement who issued this picture of his arrest

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
