Jonathan Ross' beloved mother Martha has passed away aged 79.
The 58-year-old TV host took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to announce the heartbreaking news, that his 'wonderful, loving, glamorous, thoughtful and vivacious' mother had passed away.

When one wellwisher wrote in response to the post: 'I know how proud she was of you and paul. im sorry for your loss love to all the family xxx', he countered: 'Thanks. Although she would have corrected you by saying “I’m proud of ALL my children” '
As well as Jonathan, Martha was mother to radio host Paul, TV producer and actor Miles, TV producer Simon, music industry executive Adam and daughter Liza, who she brought up in Leytonstone, north east London.
Martha drove her boys into the entertainment industry, with Jonathan first appearing on TV in an advert for the breakfast cereal Kellogg's Rice Krispies in 1970, when he was 10 and later starring in an advert for laundry detergent Persil.
Martha, an actress and radio presenter, previously starred on EastEnders and Grange Hill, however she lost her role on the soap after 20 years for revealing storyline.

In 2006, Martha, who played a stallholder on Walford's Bridge Street market for years, disclosed her day's filming to Jonathan's brother Paul, who later revealed the plot on his LBC radio show.
A soap spokeswoman said: 'Martha was in breach of her contract. Following what was said on Paul Ross' broadcast, she was asked not to return to filming.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
