«Breaking News» Davina McCall reveals she has to 'sit on her hands' to stop herself responding to online trolls

She's previously been criticised for looking 'ill and underweight.'

And, whilst appearing on This Morning on Friday, Davina McCall, 51, admitted that she finds it hard not to respond to her haters on Instagram, who comment on her bikini pics and criticise her for being 'too skinny.'

When quizzed by Eamonn and Ruth, the presenter admitted: 'Skinny-gate. I guess I find it really hard to sit back. Social media is a way to respond. You can respond, you've got a voice.

These recycled overalls are from a few seasons back - 2016 to be exact - and feature a chic coated material in a gorgeous 'plum jam' shade. They were a huge hit when they first launched, spotted all over the streetstyle scene, and as Davina shows they're still just as stylish now!

'There are times I want to respond and I'm not going to and that's really hard. I have to sit on my hands. It does, it does.'

Instead of responding to individual Instagram trolls, Davina used her appearance on This Morning as an opportunity to hit back at those who her attack her online for regularly posting jaw-dropping bikini pics.

When it comes to posting the scantily-clad images of herself, and being branded a 'bad role model' the mother-of-three asserted: 'I don't care what other people say about that.

'If I believed I was a bad role model I would try and change it and become a good one. Everybody is going to have an opinion. I try not to read it too much.

'I just think, I'm going to post this because I'm 51, I feel in good shape, and I know from looking at other people's Instagram stories, I follow people to be inspired. I don't follow people to troll them.'

The presenter - who often shows off her lean physique and sculpted abs - revealed that, despite what people think, she doesn't work out every day, and although she keeps her work outs 'hard core,' insisted she isn't addicted to exercise.

She said: 'Realistically, I exercise three or four times a week. People are often surprised by that. I don't go every day.

'I will do an hour at a time and it will be quite hard core. Would I want to do more? People always ask me if I'm addicted. I would go five or six times.'

When asked about her new year's resolutions, Davina insisted that she has a positive attitude towards the new year, encouraging others to see it as a chance at a new start and an opportunity to kick start a healthy lifestyle.

She said: 'The new year is a really good year to think of it as a clean slate. Boxing i think is a fun way to exercise. Sarah Gorman is the lady I make the DVDs with. She has years worth of experience. I'm so invigorated.'

Davina recently announced the launch of her latest fitness DVD, Power Box And Tone, and Eamonn and Ruth pointed out an exciting fact: 'It's your fifteenth, seriously! We've counted, it is.'

Handling it: 'If I believed I was a bad role model I would try and change it and become a good one. Everybody is going to have an opinion. I try not to read it too much' said Davina

Speaking about other online trolling, which she has experienced, Davina revealed that she's also received criticism for dying her own hair.

She said: 'Colouring my hair at home. A tirade of people saying i was putting hairdressers out of business.

'My two daughters and my son are keeping the hairdressing industry in business. Yes, I do colour my hair at home! have to do it every two weeks.'

Davina's appearance on This Morning comes after she was met with a wave of negative responses from fans on social media, who claimed her fitness regime has left her looking ill.

Inspiring others: 'I know from looking at other people's Instagram stories, I follow people to be inspired. I don't follow people to troll them,' said Davina

Just last week Davina McCall hit out at her haters as she stripped down to a tiny bikini to show off her incredible abs in an Instagram post.

Proving to be her own best advert for her upcoming fitness DVD, the presenter looked sensational in her swimwear as she reasoned she 'doesn't care' what anyone thinks about her.

Davina is currently training to become a qualified personal trainer with LDN Muscle's PT Academy.

The presenter earned her level 2 qualification from the same company in February, with full qualification the next step.

With traditional gender roles changing, Davina told TV host Matt Johnson and life coach Ben Bidwell on The Naked Professors podcast series that finding someone supportive is the most important quality she's looking for.

She said: 'It's not like 'I'm going to be at work all day and I'm going to cook dinner for you.'

'We are in a massive time of change. It's like 'this is how you can be a man, and find your way as a man and stand next to a woman and support her and she will support you.'

The former Big Brother presenter has opened up about her past battles with mental health, revealing that she spent years trying to fill a 'hole in her heart' with 'drugs and boys'.

She spoke candidly about her struggles, revealing that she's now finally 'happy in her own company'.

She told TV presenter Matt Johnson and life coach Ben Bidwell: 'I am a happy person generally. My glass is always half full. However, I lost that. I went to the darkest of places and I thought I had nothing left.

'I was going to break. Snap. I am very happy in my own company now, but it's taking a long time to get here.'

She added: 'I had a hole in my heart and it was like a sieve. When I tried to fill it up — boys, drugs — it would just go through and nothing would ever block up the hole.

'So it would never fill up and drugs would temporarily fill it and I would feel amazing, whole, loved, cherished and then I would go back to hurting.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
