Drew Barrymore's bizarre interview with EgyptAir's in-flight magazine has fans scratching their heads and wondering if the actress approved the 'unreal' profile.
The Q&A's unflattering introduction claims the 43-year-old Santa Clarita Diet star has been 'unstable in her relationships most of her life,' and a question about her weight states that she 'gained several kilos' after giving birth.
Adam Baron took to Twitter on Tuesday to share screenshots of the magazine's strange profile, writing: 'This interview with Drew Barrymore in the Egypt Air in flight magazine is, umm, surreal. [sic].'
For real? Drew Barrymore's strange interview with EgyptAir's in-flight magazine has fans wondering if the actress knows about the profile
Reaction: Adam Baron took to Twitter on Tuesday to share screenshots of the magazine's strange Q&A with the actress, calling it 'surreal'
Although the interview is about motherhood, the introduction focuses mainly on Drew's failed relationships and marriages.
'Despite being unstable in her relationships most of her life, despite the several unsuccessful marriages and despite the busy life of stardom that dominated her life for several years; the beautiful American Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore has recently decided to temporary [sic] take an unlimited vacation to play her most crucial role as a mother,' it reads.
A few years ago, Drew took a break from acting to focus on motherhood, but she has since returned to the small screen in the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet.
The profile makes it seem as though Drew has decided to become a stay-at-home mom, but a third season of her show is currently in the works. She also has a cosmetics company, Flower Beauty, and a clothing line, Dear Drew.
Opening: The interview begins with an unflattering introduction that focuses on the 43-year-old's failed relationships and marriages
'You gained several kilograms': The questions are also borderline-insulting, particularly one about Drew's postpartum body following the birth of her daughter Frankie
Drew's eldest child, Olive, turned six years old in September and her youngest, Frankie, is four, but the article states that they are five and three, respectively.
After noting that Drew's marriage to the girls' father, Will Kopelman, ended in divorce, the article alleges the mom 'has had almost 17 relationships, engagements, and marriages.'
Without naming any professional psychologists, it goes on to claim she has issues with men that stem from the divorce of her parents, Jaid and John Barrymore.
'Psychologists believe that her behavior is only natural since she lacked the male role model in her parents' divorce when she was only nine years old,' the article says.
'Ever since that time, she has been subconsciously seeking attention and care from a male figure, but unfortunately things do not always go as planned and she has not yet succeeded in any relationship for various reasons.'
Confusing: The profile makes it seem as though Drew has decided to become a stay-at-home mom, but a third season of her Netlfix show, Santa Clarita Diet, is currently in the works
Her little girls: Drew and her ex-husband Will Kopelman have two daughters, Olive, six, and Frankie, four
Say what? Drew and Will (pictured in 2015) divorced in 2016. Without naming any licensed psychologists, the article claims she has issues with men because of her parents' divorce
The questions are also borderline-insulting, particularly one about Drew's postpartum body following the birth of Frankie.
'A few years ago, after your last delivery, you gained several kilograms that even your fans accused you of being overweight and neglecting your health. However, today I see you have returned to your previous graceful body; what is your secret?' the question asks.
'I feel overwhelmed when someone tells me that I have regained my image and managed to lose that extra weight, especially that I felt depressed due to the significant increase in my weight after delivering Frankie,' reads Drew's response.
'However, I find this a great opportunity to entourage every woman who is overweight to work on regaining her beauty and body, especially that it is not as hard as one may think; it is all about determination and following the appropriate diet under the supervision of a physician.'
After posting pictures of the interview, Adam tweeted Drew, asking: 'Is this profile legit?'
Question of the day: Some Twitter questioned if it was a real interview with Drew
'This is unreal. Surely she didn't approve it?!' someone else asked, prompting Adam to add: 'I have no idea. I started reading and almost died, then composed myself and screenshot the entire thing.'
Robert Ayers noted that 'the opening blurb is utterly bizarre,' while Edwin Smith joked: 'The death of the celebrity profile has been greatly exaggerated.'
And Deborah Lennard took issue with the line, 'returned to your previous graceful body.'
'What the actual ?!?!?!' she asked.
Meanwhile, a woman named Jane pointed out that the magazine's insinuation that Drew has retired from acting seems to be false.
Not having it: A woman named Jane pointed out that the magazine's insinuation that Drew has retired from acting seems to be fals
Theory: Some believe the strange interview is the result of the original article being poorly translated into English
'Considering how brilliant she is in the Santa Clarita Diet I don't think it's true about [her] being retired,' she wrote. 'I'm very much looking forward to another season.'
Some believe the strange interview is the result of the original article being poorly translated into English.
'Wow they just banged a load of tripe into Google Translate by the look of it,' Debbie Hutchinson commented. 'She deffo doesn't know that exists.. tweet it to her.'
'That's like reading some of the emails I get from my offshore colleagues in work,' one person tweeted. 'The harshest English is always used, makes for some interesting conversation.'
Someone else added: 'Translated into one language using google translate then back to English??!! It's extraordinary.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
