Planning the perfect day doesn't come without months of preparation and many thousands of dollars spent on the dress, the venue, catering and entertainment.
And while the happy couple may adore every single aspect of their celebration, it's entirely possible their invitees may not.
A group of disgruntled wedding guests have recently come forward to confess the wedding-related trends others love, but they secretly hate.
From fashion faux pas including why the classic strapless dress gets the thumbs down, to how rustic touches are ruinous, here, FEMAIL takes a look at what they despise.

The thread, shared on Facebook, started with guests discussing 'boring wedding gowns that show no personality'.
'Maybe it's because I love fashion but I can't stand the strapless white A-line look,' one woman wrote.
'I dispise (sic) strapless white satin A-line gowns...,' another added. 'Everyone has one and they are all the same.
One wedding guest said she despised the strapless white satin A-line gowns because she thought they looked 'dated'
'I hear the term "traditional" but they are just dated but they are just 90s/00s. Look back through history and there are fantastic styles and none are strapless A-lines.'
Others spoke openly about their negative feelings regarding rustic weddings, which currently seem to be all the rage.
One woman wrote: 'Rustic weddings with burlap and mason jars and weddings in barns when the couple isn't from the country and has no connections with rural life.'
'Those massive light-up letters that spell out "love" or the couple's names,' another chimed in.

A third also said she considered barn weddings a no go, writing 'Unless you grew up on a farm, don't do it!'
Despite the fact it's not uncommon to see children attend a wedding, some disgruntled guests thought this was poor form.
'My ceremony will not have any screaming kids ruining it,' one woman wrote.
A rustic wedding can be a pretty alternative to a traditional ceremony, however, some feel unless you grew up on a farm you have no claim to marry in a barn
Another said she wondered if children being allowed to attend a wedding was dependent on a culture's values.
'Where I grew up, it was very uncommon for children to attend weddings. Some allowed the flower girl and ring bearer to attend the reception, but it wasn't out of the ordinary for parents to bring them a sitter between events, either.'
While some may feel signs add a more personal touch to a wedding, others, such as this wedding guest, remain unconvinced
Other gripes wedding attendees touched on included 'signs for the obvious', the cake smash and trash the dress photo shoots.
'Signs in general,' one woman wrote. 'A sign next to the cake reading "Cake". Thanks, I never would have figured that out.
"Pick a seat, not a side", ah, so original. "Cards and gifts". Gosh, I thought the empty box with a slot was where we put our raffle tickets to win the sign that reads "This wedding has alcohol and is being recorded".'
Children attending weddings also proved a devise topic among those commenting on the Facebook thread
The cake smash, while seen as a trendy thing to do by some couples, was viewed by one guest as not only being out of fashion but also as 'so lame'.
Brides with a fondness for destroying their dresses after the big day were also given short shrift by one guest who simply couldn't see the point.
'Those photoshoots where the bride ruins her dress. Like, seriously, donate it! Some people want a nice dress and maybe can't afford it,' she wrote.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
