Warner's mother cried while her 31-year-old son walked onto Coogee Oval, Sydney's eastern suburbs, to represent Randwick-Petersham where he successfully scored 155 not out off 152 balls.

His father, Howard, said the ordeal was tough on the family but they had come out the other end, the Daily Telegraph reported.

'It's emotional. After all the crap we've been through … There's a lot of us here. Family, friends, the whole lot. We are close,' he said.

'It was tough on us initially. To be quite honest, we were more worried about Candice but she's tough as nails anyhow, so she's OK.'

In the the lead up to the ball-tampering saga, Candice Warner was mocked by South African fans who wore Sonny Bill Williams masks to get under the Warners' skin as Candice and Sonny Bill had an infamous meeting in a public bathroom in 2007.

Warner, who is still ranked number five in both Test and One Day International rankings, faced returning Australian fast-bowler Josh Hazlewood and NSW Blues seamer Trent Copeland.

The disgraced cricket players drew small crowds to Caringbah and Coogee in Sydney's south and east on Saturday afternoon, where they both signed autographs for eager fans.

Their return to Australian cricket comes at the level where they both first found fame, after being suspended from the national side in March.

Former Australian captain Smith was welcomed onto the pitch by his long-term partner Dani Willis who he married in an intimate ceremony in the NSW Southern Highlands last week.

Rumours had previously swirled that the wedding had been cancelled following the cheating scandal.

Smith's father Peter, who famously stood by Smith's while he apologetically cried in a press conference following the saga, also attended Saturday's game against Mosman.

Throngs of fans came out to see one of Australia's most talented batsmen stand at the crease in club cricket for Sutherland - the first time since he rose through the ranks.

As Smith made his way to the middle of the pitch, he was met with considerable applause from the home crowd.

He got off the mark on the first ball, pushing it off his hip for two runs. His day almost ended early, but a catch opportunity was dropped by bowler Scott Rodgie on 12 runs off ten balls.

Smith was finally dismissed for 85 off 92 balls, caught by a lone fielder on the off-side after a late-innings slog.

Smith and Warner are currently serving 12-month bans for their involvement in the ball-tampering scandal in March, which saw young Australian batsman, Cameron Bancroft, rub sandpaper on the ball.

Bancroft is serving a nine-month ban.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
