«Breaking News» Phillip Schofield left in hysterics at rude gaffe on 5 Gold Rings

Phillip Schofield was left struggling to contain himself on an episode of his quiz show 5 Gold Rings, when a giant body scanner was given a 'willy windmill'.

The ITV game show asks contestants to answer visual questions by placing golden rings on a supersized image displayed on the floor.

Last night, contestant Tony was asked to correctly identify the coccyx by placing a ring on the part of the human body where he thought it was located.

After Tony set the ring down over the crotch, the human body was 'scanned' by a blue beam of light, similar to a radar, that shone outwards from the ring.

The effect was to make it look as though the body had a giant rotating penis, which Phillip, 56, gleefully described as a 'willy windmill'.

Viewers were similarly taken by the accidental X-rated moment - and Phillip's reaction - with one saying his 'childish humour' was just one of the reasons why she loved him

Tony and his wife Kelly were playing for £2,500 and bickered over where to put the ring before Tony put it 'in the most obvious place'.

The more precisely he could identify the area, the more points he would win.

When the scanner began circling the body, creating the X-rated image, it was clear Phil was trying to stifle his laughter.

However he quickly lost control and burst out laughing as he pointed towards the board, saying: 'That is a giant willy windmill there, isn't it?'

The scanner stopped and it was revealed that Tony had put the ring in the right place and won the money.

The contestants and their opponents were all left in stitches as Phil tried to diffuse the situation.

He quipped: 'I think we should really, really quickly move on from here.'

Viewers were quick to join in on the fun, with one tweeting: 'The force is strong with that one'.

Another related to how Phil was feeling, posting: 'Trying not to laugh but you just can't hold it back!'

Others added that the 'childish sense of humour' was just one of the reasons why they love Phillip.

The star is best known for presenting This Morning with Holly Willoughby, 37.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
