High street skincare giant Olay is preparing to take on the industry's leading luxury brands with its latest range of moisturisers.
Olay Whip, unveiled this week, took five years to develop, with 15,000 consumers around the world testing different iterations before the final product was signed off.
The result is a distinctive whipped up moisturiser that promises to hydrate the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

All of this doesn't come cheap, with the recommended retail price of £34.99 coming in at far more than Olay's other products - but the brand has confidence in its new release.
Speaking to FEMAIL, Olay's principal scientist, Frauke Neuser, explained the secret to its success lies in the new Active Rush Technology, a specially-designed structure that has the ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in hydration and active ingredients.
Dr Neuser compared the way it works to 'thousands of tiny micro-sponges' that can be soaked and squeezed.
'This novel delivery system allows lasting hydration and potent skincare results without heaviness or stickiness,' she added.

The product comes in the form of a whipped up cream in the jar but transforms into a liquid on contact with the skin to allow for better absorption.
It promises to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while 'actively hydrating to improve elasticity' for a lifted look and skin.
The product also boasts Amino-Peptide Complex II to regenerate surface cells, and VitaNiacin Complex II and Vitamins C & E to fight the early signs of ageing.

Dr Neuser added the technology means the product can be used as both a moisturiser and primer.
She added: 'The tiny micro-sponges that make up the Active Rush Technology remain on the skin surface after delivering the hydration, and not only even out skin’s texture but are also able to absorb some of the oils and sebum produced throughout the day.
'This way make up goes on more evenly and has more lasting power.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
