«Breaking News» MAFS' Clare Verrall on why Nick Cummins strung Cassandra Wood along

Nick Cummins sent Cassandra Wood home late in the competition, despite knowing how strong her feelings were for him.

And after the 23-year-old failed to receive a rose during Thursday night's episode, Married At First Sight's Clare Verrall gave her theory on why the sportsman strung her along.

The 35-year-old reality star put The Honey Badger's actions down to instructions by producers.

Clare, who starred on the 2016 season of Married At First Sight, took to Instagram Stories on Thursday night to give her opinion on Nick's actions.

She began: 'I have thoughts on this whole Cassie being sent home thing. Standard. I have an opinion, okay.

'Okay, my theory: The producers would have insisted that he kept Cassie around because they dated in the past and they wanted to ensure he didn't come across as a prick. So I'm sure that is what happened.'

Clare went on to say that in doing so, Cassandra was left utterly heartbroken.

'However by doing that, they've [producers] got a very young 23-year-old girl who actually thought this was going to be her love story and utterly manipulated her and it makes me angry,' she explained.

'So beautiful Cass, I hope you are well. I hope they are looking after you. You deserved so much more than this and you will find your 'One',' Clare added.

On Thursday night's episode of The Bachelor, Cassandra was given the boot by Nick, 30, after failing to receive a rose.

Sad: 'You're an amazing woman, your smile lights up the room. We hit a ceiling on this. I'm hoping we can still be friends,' Nick, 30, [pictured] told a devastated Cassandra

The blonde was left heartbroken and burst into tears when she got into the car that would take her home from the mansion.

'We had the best time right, it's not cause we don't get along like a house on fire, we do,' Nick told her after he walked her to the car.

'I just can't believe it,' Cassandra said to camera as she left the mansion, sobbing.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
