The actress plays Roxanne Cross, a renowned soprano held hostage by dissident guerrillas after travelling to South America for a private concert in new film Bel Canto.
It is the latest addition to a diverse back catalogue of films that began almost thirty years ago with a minor role in little known comedy-horror Tales from the Darkside: The Movie.
Her character meets a grisly end in that particular film, and she admits it's a recurring theme that has left her 16-year old daughter Liv exasperated.

'Oddly, a lot of my roles get lumped together,' she told the publication. 'There was a series of 1950s housewives that were all thrown at me at the same time.
'Or you do a bunch of funny things all at once. My daughter recently asked me about a project, "Do you die again, Mom? I feel you like you always die."'
Julianne added an extra string to her bow while preparing for her new film by learning to sing opera instead of relying on overdubs during production.
And she admits her method approach adds an extra degree of authenticity to the finished product.

'For me the most important thing is research,' she explained. 'If I’m playing an opera singer, I better learn what it is to be an opera singer or be able to approximate it.
'I’m going to know my lines. I’m going to know the music. I’m going to know all of that stuff. But then that preparation allows you to drop it on camera.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
