«Breaking News» Juan Mata writes get well soon post to Luke Shaw after head injury

Luke Shaw is thankfully okay after his horrifying collision with Dani Carvajal during England's 2-1 defeat to Spain on Saturday.

The Manchester United man, who has been on good form this season so far in the league, was laid out on the grass for several minutes and suffered a concussion.

His United team-mate and Spaniard Juan Mata has wished him a speedy recovery in a heartfelt blog post entitled 'Get well soon, Luke' on his website

'Many of you will have followed the international games, especially with the UEFA Nations League starting,' wrote Mata. 'One of the biggest fixtures of the opening games was without doubt England vs Spain, which finished 2-1 in our favour. It was a great result, although England didn’t give up until the final whistle in an attempt to at least take a point.

'The worst news from that match was Luke Shaw’s collision, which forced him off the field due to injury. As you’re all aware, he has been in really good form over the last few weeks, I hope that it won’t be anything serious and that he can be back fit as soon as possible. I’m sending you a big hug and my best wishes, Luke.'

So far Luke Shaw has picked up a goal and helped Manchester United keep one clean sheet in their four games so far. He was also one of the bright spots for England in the match against Spain, providing the assist for Marcus Rashford's goal, before he was forced off through injury.

'I am doing fine and am in the best hands,' wrote Shaw on Twitter after the match. 'I'm a fighter so I will be back soon.'

The 23 year old is no stranger to injury after badly damaging his leg back in 2015 in a match against PSV. He fought back from that, and believes he will be back soon from this as well.

Shaw is due to be back with United's medical team today, and unsurprisingly did not turn up to Monday's training alongside Mata.

Manchester United fans will certainly hope Shaw is back in action soon. As Mata mentions later on his post, they have a busy month coming up, with matches in the Premier League, Champions League, and League Cup on the horizon.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
