«Breaking News» Harry Kane presented with the World Cup Golden Boot by England manager Gareth Southgate

Harry Kane collected his World Cup Golden Boot from Gareth Southgate on Saturday evening ahead of England’s match against Spain.

And he added a classy touch to proceedings by bringing along match day mascot Ben Williams, who is battling a brain tumour, along with him to collect the award at Wembley, and then ensured he had safely returned to pitch side before walking to the centre circle.  

The five-year-old from Birmingham received a message from Kane during the World Cup after a touching video in which he received a replica World Cup was posted online.  Spurs striker Kane referred to Williams as an ‘inspiration’.

The England striker scored six goals in six games at this summer's tournament in Russia

The striker earned the honour after scoring six goals for the Three Lions at the tournament in Russia this summer. Kane captained England to the semi-final stage, the furthest they had been since 1990. 

He further commemorated receiving the honour by donning gold boots for the Nations League game.

The footwear has been specially produced by Nike to mark his achievement. Inscribed within the boots is the insignia ‘Lane, Lion, Leader.’

Prior to the game, Southgate called Kane the best pure striker on the planet.

‘Look at the No 9s around the world — Messi and Ronaldo are different players — and I can’t see a better one,’ said Southgate.

‘As a player, you are always questioned and challenged about the next step. The reason I made him captain is he has that drive to continually improve. That’s what drives the very best.

‘They want to continually win, making a difference in the games that matter, winning trophies. That’s what I’ve seen in the last five years working with Harry. I don’t see any signs of that hunger and ambition dwindling. He’s coming into his prime.’

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
